To me, this postponement that was requested BY THE SECURITY AGENCIES AND INEC will reduce the number of disenfranchised Nigerians and afford INEC enough latitude to distribute the PVC to all and sundry so to avoid needless lawsuits. After that the FG MUST ensure that NO UNDER AGED ALMAJIRI is allowed to vote on election day and also ensure that ALL necessary steps are taken to neutralise the reported agreement between INEC and northern elders forum to rig the election in favour of senile tyrant Buhari. I encourage the patriotic elements with locus standi that are pursuing the relevant court processes to disqualify Ayatollah Buhari for forgery and lying about his "certificate" to be very diligent about that. Finally, all true lovers of democracy must troop out on March 28 and vote massively for Jonathan as he is the best candidate around, way better than the expired dictator buhari

We are in hot soup in this country, why is jonathan scared of feb 14?
No whala march/april will surely come to past by God's grace and he might regret shifting this poll when the time comes.

If elections could be held in Afghanistan,
Pakistan and Iraq, we will have to think again;
if really we want democracy or we want something else.

I really don't see elections holding in 6wks time, we shall settle for an interim govt to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.

Take it or leave it, it God that put them there.

Sometimes when I read post of people insulting the President and some leaders, I feel so disappointed with Nigerians, we vote for them but it God that put them there, if you say is not God that put them there that is to say God it not with us, people call the president names, insult him even post some insulting kind of pictures of him on internet forgetting that people from other country are reading and watching, Nigeria is not as bad as other countries, Nigeria is more better than some countries, we never insult ourselves when we fail but we encourage ourselves, let pray for God's help and wisdom, not insulting our leaders, the day we insult our father that is the day we bring course to ourselves.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

A PARALLEL WITH IRNAiAN HOSTAGE CRISES Of 1979?

" his overthrow in 1979, the Shah of Iran was admitted into the U.S. for medical treatment for cancer. The Iranians demanded that the Shah be returned to Iran for trial and execution for crimes he was accused of committing during his reign. Iranians saw the asylum granted by the U.S. as American complicity in the atrocities the Shah had committed. In the United States, the hostage-taking was seen as violation of the principles of international law.
The hostage crisis reached a climax after failed attempts to negotiate a release of the hostages, the United States military attempted a rescue operation using ships such as the USS Nimitz and USS Coral Sea that were patrolling the waters near Iran. On April 24, 1980, Operation Eagle Claw resulted in a failed mission, the deaths of eight American servicemen, one Iranian civilian, and the destruction of two aircraft.
The hostages were formally released into United States custody the day after the signing of the Algiers Accords, just minutes after the new American president, Ronald Reagan, was sworn into office."
Perhaps BUHARI's swearing in will come along with Similarities to Reagan's entry into the whitehouse.

Eluwilussit:

I understand your pain. Now I must be very frank with you. The North has more role to play than Jonathan. Your messiah Buhari, condemned the emergency rule in the North east. He accused the presidency of ethnic cleansing. If you have forgotten, I wanna remind you and all the people that call Jonathan names, that Jonathan went through out the creeks without security to meet with Niger delta militants to negotiate for peace, when he was vp. The northern elders with the exception of a handful, have never condemned boko haram.
The North is sabotaging itself. I miss Kano. Hope we succeed in the BE.

You are so desperate to return to north-south rivalry while the situation is clear - Jonathan is so incompetent in leadership that only criminals want him to continue as president.

" Some days ago, someone respected and influential...a statesman, accused the electoral umpire..Jega...without proof...that he was in cahoots with the ''Northern Elite'' to make sure the election went to Buhari. (A Northern elite which has not been friendly with Buhari for some time). There have also been some unseemly abuse thrown at the person of the General....abuse which a lesser man would have taken umbrage at.Indeed...the honor of a man who has served his country times without number, both in uniform and out of it , is being besmirched everyday on the pages of some of the print media...and on the television. If indeed this is how we treat servants of our nation...then we are indeed a people without honour and sense of decency. And that indecency too extends to the official opposition. Over and over again, our President stands accused of being in cahoots with Boko Haram....for his own political benefit. He also stands accused of working to subvert the unity of Nigeria. He has been accused of certian crimes without any proof whatsoever. And all in the name of opposition. Indeed , my countrymen....if we cannot practice democracy without bitterness in this country....if we must lie in order to acheive our political goals....then we are not ready for democracy. We are ready for strongman rule.....because Mr Strongman will see to it that there is maximum peace by outlawing all your freedoms...especially the right to be spiteful.....in the name of peace."
