Buhari faults crackdown on Boko Haram

Presidential candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 Presidential election, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has frowned on the emergency rule in parts of the North. He alleged that innocent civilians were being killed in the states.

Buhari speaking during a Liberty FM Hausa Service Programme, Guest of the Week, on Sunday in Kaduna said that Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished unlike the “special treatment” given to the Niger Delta militants by the Federal Government.

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Wednesday said that though Nigeria is a rich nation, its people are extremely poor due to bad governance.

He also promised to involve serving and retired military generals to devise an effective strategy to crush insurgency in the country, if elected as President in 2015.

[b]It is sad to see many anti-progressives call Buhari names because of his tribal accent. Igbo's , Yoruba and Hausa's all have various ways of speaking and pronunciation due to our mother tongue. When i watched father Mbaka's video, his accent was obvious when he pronounced OIL as OYEL but does that makes him an illiterate? General Buhari reads, writes and gives speeches in English, but the hatred by some Nigerians will never let them see that fact.


The most supporters of this present administration are the Igbo's. They see this as an opportunity for them to avenge what was done to them during the civil war. They never blamed Ojukwu who started a suicide mission and ran to ivory coast leaving them to their fate. This is why they will never see anything good in Buhari even if GEJ does nothing, they are contented.

THEY ARE HAPPY THE ELECTION WAS POSTPONED. THEY ARE SO EASY TO DECEIVE. GEJ fooled the igbos with Azikwe and promise of a bridge that's still on paper. They see GEJ as the closest they can get to aso rock. voting him is their way of flexing their political muscle but we shall put them to shame.

Had APC presented Fashola, Atiku or Kwankwaso , they will still find reasons to vote for GEJ and label Apc candidates bad. This hate is not about buhari, it's the way they feel they can get revenge for refusing to allow them form their Biafran territory. They call Yoruba's slave to the North and all sort of names. They are a petty tribe. Its unfortunate the disunity of this country originates from their region.

In 2011, we all saw GEJ as a messiah and we voted him en-masse irrespective of his tribe and religion. We thought he would deliver us from years of misrule due to his humble look and name GOODLUCK. Nigerians did not vote PDP but GEJ. Then Yoruba's were not tagged slaves for trooping out to vote for him en-masse.

They said APC and Buhari promised to make Nigeria ungovernable. My question is why can't these people be arrested if the statements tagged to them were true GEJ is the commander in chief of all forces in Nigeria and it baffles me how a civilian in Buhari can make his government ungovernable while he sits and watch without taking actions. Isn't that a high level of incompetence?

Good luck Jonathan is the worst president we ever had in this country. The misfortunes of his administrations exceeds the so called transformations. I urge everyone to vote wisely

Now i truly und the main ideology behind THINGS FALL APART by chinua achebe(rip).i can see clearly now that we have no leaders but mere psychopaths in power.
I see the leaders putting thier selfish interests before the need of the masses,i see another form of democracy being practise in this great country.
I see our leaders causing hatred among all ethnic groups,i see them destabilizing oir economy to favour the few.
I saw all of these nd decided to vote in president Goodluck jonathan in 2011 cause i felt
He understood what nigerians were going through nd moreover since he had NO SHOES,he was the only person that could ve been in abject poverty nd knew the struggles nd sacrifices we nigerians faced daily.i voted for him.
After 4 yrs in power,nothing ve changed mr president.i know you are a good person but the people that surrounds u re really crazy.i wept when i saw my freinds under the sun during the immigration exercise nd i became bitter when sme of dem lost their lives.

My perspective about nigeria changed when APC chose gen muhamdu buhari as the party flag bearer for the presidential postion.i had to dig back into history to knw who that personalty was.what i noticed about this man was that he was know to be an incorruptible personalty.i felt that was interesting but nevertheless i still insisted on voting for president goodluck jonathan come February 14.but CHANGES started to occur,your campaign team had failed you and nigerians and also made ridicule of my beloved country.

Although i still had a little respect and love for the president not until the initial postponement of the genral election,initially i thought the elction was gooing to be postponed as a result of unavailability of pvcs across the country but the inec chairman made his stance known by saying all pvcs wuld be circulated across the country before feb 14.
I felt the election would still hold not until the military gave a silly excuse that security would not be guranteed for the elections then i knew the president has an active role in cohersing the miltary to make such statement.
