Yes dear. It is very normal if those are your periods. That's spectacularly regular actually. It's almost abnormal to be that close in your period. For many people, it is off few days up to 7-10 days actually.

The mucus change is just change in your physiology/composition/hormonal balance etc. Nothing to worry about; if it doesn't have foul odor or abnormally discolored.

You just answered it really. You are just recovering from a serious illness. It's taken a toll on your body literally. You have just engaged you immune system in serious defense, that alone will cause decrease in appetite. But, those drugs also do tend to have side effects that includes lack of appetite and insomnia.

This is why people hospitalized with critical illness or surgery (at least in US), we don't start them off chewing meat right away. We start with liquids/soup, then thickened food, then soft then meat and potatoes.

I would give myself some time to fully recover. Your appetite will surely bounce back slowly.

Start with liquid food, then gradually increase to soft and then to regular food.

Good luck. Wish ya full recovery.

Re Sarcoma treatment and cost effectiveness. Great questions actually. Smart patient.

Anyway,

Treatment and/or effectiveness depend on a number of things:

- the type of sarcoma: low vs. high grade vs metastatic. (this is determined by histology after biopsy sample taken)
- the stage of the sarcoma: once again determined via histology sample
-the size of the sarcoma

Anyway, treatments ranges from surgery to chemotherapy, to radiotherapy.

All around, get oncologist/hematologist consultation, s/he will help you determine what course of action is best.

I think the cost effectiveness depends on the aggressiveness of the sarcoma (type, stage, spread or local). People respond differently but the general consensus is that prognosis is good and after 5 years if cancer does not reoccur, chances of being free of it is greater.

Hope it helps. I will keep looking for a good laymans' friendly article on this question of yours. Will let you know if I find such.

Best.

It should answer your question on cost effectiveness of treatment.

Let me know if you have questions or just summary of the article. It pretty much is what I said in my earlier post. Effectiveness/response varies from person to person depending on a number of factors already mentioned in my previous post. I think it is worth a shot if you can afford treatment.

I wish you and yours all the best.

Hmmmmm. This isnt normal. Go get a proper assessement from a physician.

You need to figure out why you are unable to gain weight and or why you are loosing weight.

You are young so hopefully it is benign and easily treatable.

Thanks so much. Will do as you advised.

You are welcomed sis.

Might i add; it wouldnt hurt to take a pee on a stick tho your LMP was 01/19

Your body is making itself friendly to your husbands sperm by making mucus watery.

Doesnt nevcessarily indicate pregnany.

Number please? LDL level? I ask because it depends on how high it is; tells me whether you need to be on a statin or try diet first.

Diet: omega fatty acids: fish like salmon, tuna, nuts of any kind. Food stuff that raise HDL (the good cholesterol).
Exercise: aerobic exercise, strength/resistance training raises HDL level.

*modified*: in addition, limit carbohydrate/fatty laden food stuff like a lot of Nigerian staple foods ( I assume you Nigerian) are carb dense like rice. Also limit white pasta, white bread, processed flour-y stuff. Limiting fat is easy, in fact, a lot of African/Nigerian foodstuff aren't really fatty (except for maybe if you eat lots of red meat or pork). It is the hidden fat in carbs that's hard to combat.

You may ask, how is that contributing to high fat. Well see, your body converts excess carbs (and even protein) into fat for storage-hence the fatty deposit. This is simple biochemistry/metabolic cycle.

Just wanted to use your question to "educate" a little. Sorry, didn't mean to go off tangent a bit.

Culture of? PID as in pelvic inflammatory disease? Do you have an IUD (intrauterine device) implanted in your uterus?

Pseudomonas a is not common pathogen for PID/UTI in normal healthy women unless you have an inserted IUD or some form of iatrogenic/instrumentation.

No I don't have an IUD implanted. But I once had a miscarriage and suction tube was used in July for the d&c. Now my tubes are blocked. I am confused how the Pseudomonas aeruginosa came about.

Although since September, I kept seeing fluid in pouch of Douglas/ cul de sac during scan

How is it possible for the tubes to get blocked between July of last year and February this year. I just hope the fimbriae/ cilia have not damaged
I did hvs, vaginal swab and urine analysis

Oh... sorry to hear of your misfortune. I really can't imagine this being a PID so to speak; you should have more symptoms of acute illness if it were PID.

I would think that it is a D&C complications; certainly an infection with pseudomonas. The fluid in the cul de sac could be as a result of the infection too if it's beyond normal.

I think the blocked tubes could also be complication of D&C; called adhesions. Adhesions are basically scar tissues forming at site of instrumentation. Sometimes, if enough of it forms in a small tube, it can cause blockage. It can be reversed with adheolysis, but this is really highly specialized procedure that should be done by a really good gyn. surgeon. Otherwise, it will make things worse.

Overall, follow up with your gyn doc and plan your options in terms of future pregnancies and whether the fluid is pathologic and needs further evaluation and management.

LDL 100-129,Blood Glucose Fasting 70-110,S.Triglycerides 64.4,30.0-170.0,Total Cholesterol 144.2, 130.0-230.0,HDL Cholesterol 57.1, 30.0 70.0

This looks like the normal ranges you gave me. Why are there two numbers like 100-129 for LDL and glucose? Could you look over it again, and tell me again what YOUR level is. Thanks

TGI of 64 is normal. HDL of 57 is great. Total cholesterol is ok.

Look over report again, and tell me your LDL level and fasting glucose. The numbers above look like the normal ranges reported not actually yours.

Overall, i would prescribe lifestyle modifications for your first. That includes diet and exercise as outlined in my original post.

Huh....that's interesting. It is possible, but I am not actually sure the mechanics of how or why it happens.

It could be that the test is suppose to be picking up certain amount of antibodies or viral shedding. So, if your body doesn't have enough HIV antibodies made or viral shedding, the tests doesn't pick it up and hence negative.

In terms of probability, I don't know the exact sensitivity and specificity values to the testing. What kind of test did you use?

I shall look it up and see what I find.

Hello doctor,
For sometimes now have been having occasional dislocation in my shoulder joint. It started like 3yrs ago when I wanted to throw a stick with force. Since then have been having occasional dislocation at the point, most especially if I want to pull a generator rope.

But of recent, the dislocation happens at night when I sleep face down, and wont be able to lift myself unless someone come to my rescue and adjust the shoulder.
Any time it happens at night, I wont know the time it dislocated but I do notice whenever I wake and want to re adjust my sleeping position or go to the toilet.
