cassyrooy:Sorry to disappoint you sir, I only know the quotas for Dentistry and Medicine which is 30( 25 from UTME and 5 from Crossing and D.E) and 180(100 were admitted last year of which some would still be forced to change their courses due to wrong JAMB combination or Wrong course selection in 100L, so I guess the space of 80 would be left for crossing and D.E). Since its Sociology, then you guys should be much to some extent. And that course as I have viewed it from a distance is not gonna be a walk in the park. I was at a book shop opposite the school's gate, in there I met two girls and their mum. One of the girls was in Sociology and the other was in Law. The sociologist had come to get this fat book on which was written boldly "SOCIOLOGY"(N6,000) and the owner of the store was asking the girl what the highest grade in Literature was for the last semester in the Dept. Of Sociology, I was shocked when she said a 'D'. Hmmm...let XavierG, DSurgeon, Dr.Host, PrOton, Bhuumite, Horlarmancy, ogunsinamayowa, estijaz, Pes13, funkysilver, Mockinjay, felixyiga, Professor1234, Kumpharm et al look into the question as well. Thats my opinion dear. U.I doesn't take too much people, but Sociology should be pegged at 350-400(speculative guess). 2 Likes |

tobillionaire:dr/dt=0.2cm/s r=5cm A=πr2 dA/dr=2πr dA/dt=dA/dr * dr/dt dA/dt=2πr * 0.2 dA/dt=2π * 5 * 0.2 dA/dt= 2πcm2/s dA/dt= 2*22/7=6.284cm2/s therefore the rate of increase in the area is 6.284cm2/s. horpeyemmi66:What really is the problem is getting the admission, then surviving will a step to step thing like a football league season. 350-400(*grining*)? That sound hopeful. Are you a student @U.I? |
Re: University Of Ibadan 2015/16 Applicants by horpeyemmi66(m): 6:43pm On Feb 14, 2015 |
cassyrooy: No am not a student, but in a couple of months I will be... For the tyme been am just an aspirant like you; Aspirant of Physiology 2015(crossing to MBBS 2016). Dr.Host and I alone know the reasons for the detour. What you saw(Answer to ur question) was not mean't to appeal to you, make you feel fly or make you feel good in anyway. We are still at the cross road of UTME, after crossing that Rubicon(Provided you scored 200+) then comes the PUTME. As I have heared the Post-Utme is basically O' level standard. The race has begun earnestly, so you've got to strive hard if you wanna be an 'OmoIbadan' not one of the 'Wannabes'. In essence don't count your chicks before they hatch.

My frequency on this thread is gonna reduce as time go, but if Dibu let me have my marks i'll establish myself like The Guv'nor here. Lets scale jamb then we see how things go. Thanks anyway |

horpeyemmi66: For admission Dentistry quota is 30 Medicine quota is 120 (180 is the full quota) Note: More than 100 were admitted last year. Only 100 was on the merit list. Change course due to wrong course selection in school Get your facts right mister. 350-400? Sociology. Way overboard. It's never up to that. Should be Between 60-65. |

SegunFlames: "Change Course due to wrong course selection in schoolGet your facts right mister". What I posted concerning that is true, perhaps you are getting the message all wrong; but it was so explicit for anyone to Understand (even my Grandmother can understand better; that wasn't sarcasm). Ever heared of electives? It is on the basis of electives one is able to cross (and choosing electives as part of your course load for a specific department) , say from Physiology to Medicine. Wrong electives would get you Tsunamized or Erosioned...Wish Damitism would come and help out here. Another Vantage point is JAMB subject selection. Take for instance, someone who wants Medicine but has a JAMB subjects combination of Maths, Phy, Eng and Chem or someone who puts in for Computer Engineering and chooses Bio, Phy, Chm and Eng?? They get disqualified at the point of registeration and are duly advised to change their courses due to the wrong choice made. 350-400 and 60-65, either ways its not your concern @Cassyrooy just prepare to get in, there is no betting on luck. Olatunji21 thanks for the timely mediating "Scale the jamb hurdle @first, then we can shift our focus to Pume..." Nah so. Happy Sunday Guys. |

horpeyemmi66 You have said it all. Wrong jamb subject combination will automatically disqualify a person for that particular course unless the person change to another course in which the combination fit. Also, wrong elective course combination in the case of crossing to other department will automatically disqualify the person from crossing. The person will have to settle for the course he/she is admitted for the rest of his/her stay in UI. |
