Hello,

Im currently studying in France and would like to restart in Germany from september as I dont like it here. I was considering Hamburg or munich. I would like to know from experienced people how to go about it if its possible to obtain a german study permit in germany without having to return to naija, living conditions, how blacks are treated, how to find affordable accomodation and the possibility of getting a job whilst studying for some side cash. Thanks alot

PS: I have no knowledge of german yet. and i speak french fluently.

Its a sick, over rated, racist country with narrow minded bigoted people and I won't advice any anglophone African to come here except they are coming for a short course or going to an English university.

Nelly, as you know that German universities admit student from Nigeria only if you have completed A'level or have finished first year at the university. Hence, I believe you ve finished your first year in France which gives you upper hand to be admitted.

You have no problem with study permit since you already study in Schengen country, however, i think you must complete the procedure of student residence permit within your first 3months in Germany by providing evidence of financial capability either through blocked account or sponsorship letter. etc

My suggestion, since you are currently studying in France, why cant you transfer your credit to a university in Germany since both countries are using ECTs instead of starting from year one.

Note am not a geek in this, those veterans in Germany will put more light for you or better post this to other German thread for quick response. Good luck bro.

most german universities are tuition free, you pay noting except the contributory money that allow you to use public transport free btw 50-250 euros, you pay the money in germany, you only need to deposit 8000 euros as block account in deutche bank, you will be using the money to feed yourself in germany. you most deposit the money before visa will be granted to you and the money is your own when you get to germany

That means you didn't go through the posts and comments properly before taking your action. The guy I quoted asked for my contact since I was applying for the same course he has interest in so that we can discuss privately. So how do you see that as an issue and feel that the best solution is to remove my reply/comment? Kindly restore my comment, because I need someone in Nigeria who is going through the same application like myself for reasons best known to me. I can't really discuss everything openly at least for the sake of even typing long comments please.
