Nope , it doesn't on Samsung when you flash the official firmware via Odin , ( talking from experience ).

I flashed Lollipop on my s4 this week via Odin. It wiped the phone storage clean.

I've also flashed stock rom on my s3 in the past, via odin; phone got wiped.

Sounds like a software problem. Do yourself a favor and Reload the OS

Does your laptop have the Samsung usb drivers installed? Are you sure your USB cable carries data? USB cables normally have 4 wires inside, black and red for power, green and white for data. Cheap after market cables might only have the power cables for charging and leave out the data cables. So u might want to try a different cable. Also have u tried connecting the phone to another computer? The N7000 is a reliable warhorse. Still have mine functioning even though I have put all manner of rom inside it. I even put the Ubuntu phone OS just to have a feel of the interface

try flashing a stock firmware from another region.

If u use odin on a rooted phone u r gonna loose everything. I'm sure after writing with Odin you lost root.

Also when u say bloatware, aside Knox which I really hate what other Samsung apps do u consider bloatware
