While I agree with the OP that the act is bad, I believe the reasons given above are completely wrong scientifically, biologically, physiologically, psychologically or otherwise. It is OK to deter people from doing things you believe are wrong, but you must not scare them with the wrong reasons.

I used to do this act some years back, because I felt it helps me reduce the urge to lust after women...
