Both jets have only short range missiles. They die together in seconds....close combat.

Simple.

No - tell us why they die together

Last year 2014 report is outdated and now irrelevant.

Wait for 2015 updated reports and see how 99% of terrorist activities in Nigeria is deleted. We will be equal on index with Europe, e.g France....they too have terrorism inside Paris city...big time
.

How is the terrorism in france the same as yours? You are on the same level as Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia

Fly At Our Own Risk SAAF, Flying Risk includes :

1. Low fuel in Gripen jet, almost empty tanks, jet may fall from sky without warning

2. One missile only per jet, combat ability near zero level

3. Pilots not qualified, mostly 1 hour per month training

4. Best pilots fly VIP jets only

5. 99% of all available fuel is reserved for VIP transport leisure services

6. All action in the above video are for public demo purposes only and not a reflection of SAAF's true combat capabilities, at SAAF we pride ourselves in Hollywood style PR stunts

SAAF....flying with all kinds of avoidable risks
.[/size]

Lol - we have video evidence of our capabilities

Capabilities Nigeria could only dream of

They guy never read Napoleon Bonaparte, the greatest European army General, he leads his troops directly into battlefield
.

They didnt have radios at that time - are you admitting that Nigeria has the same command and controll as they did in the 1800's?

The fact that you think he is the best general explains your outdated military thinking. There is Guderian the master of armoured warfare, Rommel the master of mobility warfare, Montgomery the master of logistics, and finally, Von Manstein the grand master of combined arms warfare.

Today, it is Von Manstein's teachings that are taught in military academies across the world, not Napoleon, and Von Manstein commanded from a HQ 100's of kilometers from the front line.

Your half-baked Gripen jet pilots have NEVER flown one single combat mission in their lives with a Gripen grin grin

NAF = 5,390 combat sorties in 3 months !
.

Training > Combat experience

Your half baked pilot may be completely experienced flying around squirting a cannon at ground targets, but a well trained but green Gripen pilot can do infinity more damage than him when he simply presses a button and drops PGM's

Why me? I should stand in open field for SAAF jets to k.ill me? Even Togo's air force can do that with Alpha jet, kill innocent civilian in open field....oh ! I forgot, that's what the Chadian air force did last month by murdering 30 civilians in the open desert of Niger Republique, and you just assured us that it is the same skill that South African air force has.....same level of M.orons like the air force of Chad.....birds of the same feather flock together....South Africa = Chad grin grin

No wonder the strongest military in Africa Egypt, bypassed both Chad and South Africa then chose Nigerian military to help the mighty Pharaoh's armed forces to fight ISIS in Libya, surely the Egyptian military high command read the Seleka story of how Chad and South Africa both were in Bangui while Seleka took over.

Egypt is NOT impressed by your photos and videos on nairaland, I suggest you send an ambassador to Egypt to kneel down and beg the Pharaoh to allow you come under Nigerian military command in Libya if we go to fight ISIS
.

Augustus, Egypt did not ask Nigeria for assistance - stop telling lies.

Furthermore, the Egyptian military is weak and ineffective and is nothing to aspire to or admire. They are big, that is all, and have been humiliated multiple times by smaller Isrealy armies... Egypt is big for nothing grin

Infact, I see a correlation between the Egyptian and Nigerian Armies, both are big and look good on paper - but that is all they have, paper.

Nope, apartheid was NEVER defeated by freedom fighters and the barrel of the gun.

Apartheid collapsed due to global economic sanctions led by Nigeria, and a completely Nigerian strategy of getting the world to boycott anything South African, the economic crunch and pain was the Nigerian made blow that knocked out Apartheid forcing your white lords to and over to you.

How come you Southies were so dumb and stupiid enough to be held captives like slaves in your own country up to 1994 when even tiny countries like Togo got their freedom....cowardice and poor thinking capability made you South African blacks and coloured to reamin modern day slaves up to 1994 grin grin
.

Countries like Nigeria and Togo got their freedom because the whites did not want to keep those countries. Whites wanted to keep South Africa and Zimbabwe/Rhodesia and Namibia/South West Africa and Angola and Mozambique

Whites abandoned your worthless lands but they saw the prosperity that resided in ours, and they were willing to fight to keep it they were willing to die to keep it.

It shows the superiority of Southern Africa - of all of Africa, it is the only place Europeans actually wanted to live. And now, they and us live in peace and together we reap massive prosperity and address the joint injustices of the past. Did you know that whites are actually immigrating back to Angola and Mozambique?

Again, many nations assisted us, but Nigeria had the least to give - as was shown at Nelson Mandela's funeral. All Nigeria did was issue some Visa's and write some letters, safe in the knowledge that the Apartheid government would not retaliate due to the distance you have from us... Zimbabwe, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique and Tanzania all held training camps - and paid the price in blood. Russia and Cuba provided massive support both diplomatically and in terms of arms and training.

In the end, it was the massive civil unrest and the people in the streets that ended Apartheid, not a bunch of Igbo's passed out on palm wine.

Yet again, Nigerians try to claim something they had nothing to do with - much like they claim they are the ones liberating their own people, and not chad grin

Unlike you, Nigeria is building 70% of Africa's first construction of a stealth warship, fully digital with 2014 sophistication
.

1. Stealth properties are limited
2. You are assembling 70% of the vessel - not building it
3. Its not a warship - its a gun-boat

Your Chinese OPV's are not impressive at all.

And we will be building 3 OPV's (which are bigger)

So what is your point?

That ship looks virtually complete to you?

The contract stipulates the Hull of the ship would be built in China, then transported to Nigeria were 50 - 70% of the production would be completed.

First Understand reports, or what ever you read.

What construction?

The chinese build the hull

You install imported electronics

That is not construction, that is assembly.

What a handfull of men?

Brah, we do large scale drops, TALO ops, drop guys out of planes over the ocean and get them picked up by subs... you really wanna try compare?

And, unlike Nigeria, we can drop an entire parachute regiment, resupply them, and they have their own organic transport.... then we can follow them up with 6 SAI, an entire air-mobile battalion.

No one else in Sub-Saharan Africa compares to us in aerial-assault, no one.

A nation that has zero air force combat experience can only defeat NAF if they have superior aircraft and missiles. Unfortunately SAAF is just equal to NAF in missile capability, so we have the advantage of experience over you. Anyway, first go find aviation fuel, you get jerry can? grin

Nigeria and Egypt are NOT in the same region. West Africa is NOT same as North Africa.

Nigeria has no border with Libya or Egypt.

South Africa want's to lead Africa, reason why you sent SANDF from Southern Africa to Central Africa in C.A.R Bangui where you got beaten up.

South Africa claims to have great force projection, then you now say one place is too far for you in Africa.

Okay, thanks for confirming today that South Africa has ZERO force projection grin grin

Egypt didnt ask you for help

Our force projection is superior to yours - you couldent even get troops left in Sudan home, we deployed an entire battalion of men, Gripen and Rooivalk to the Congo in under a week

THE TRUTH COMES OUT?? WHO IS THIS MYSTERIOUS AUGUSTINE ON BEEGEAGLE'S BLOG??

Funny that there is also an Augustine on this thread....maybe it's just a coincidence grin grin grin grin

Listen to what he said.......

"Submarines, are the ultimate weapon platform in sea power, one lone submarine can sink a whole navy of 10 warships.

One single South African navy submarine today will sink the entire Nigerian navy fleet of major ships in 24 hours, and the submarine will sail back home to Cape Town in peace.

A navy without a good submarine is a weak and incomplete navy. Submarines were invented by oyinbo man for a reason and since World War II 1940s till today 2015 every navy in the world is afraid of enemy submarines, even American navy fears them !

Nigeria can start with two submarines. possibly second hand cheap from China, the Song Class submarines for say $160 million each fairly used units.

The price of the new submarine is the same as the price of a new Frigate warship.

Effective defense and protection of a nation’s territorial integrity is not cheap, an freedom is not free of charge.

Thanks bro."

The most difficult part of ship building is the on-board mechanical and electrical systems, that is what makes a ship fulfill it's sea mission, the hull/body carcass is nothing special, we already build bigger ships at Nigerdock, what we need to learn and we have learnt, is the on-board systems construction of a sophisticated 2014 naval warship, not just welding body metals to shape a ship's hull, Nigeria has already advanced beyond that low level many years ago
.

You are simply installing parts manufactured in other nations.

Again, if I put together an Ikea desk, is that assembly or manufacture?

And, also, working with military grade steel is very difficult, simply getting hold of it is difficult

You quoted a very specific number and used a very specific word. Namely....70% and Building. You said Nigeria is building 70% of that ship. Which is false. The Chinese wont even let you build 2% of it.

Now you're changing your story, telling us what the most important parts are. Maybe you think you're talking to your slave Henry120.....not me.

The hull is complete, and most importantly the superstructure is complete. That ship will not be opened up again with a blow torch to put heavy mechanical and electrical equipment inside. It's all in. The radar and electronics mast is also visibly complete.

The Chinese will only let you go to your nearest store, and buy 100W light bulbs for the walk ways. They might also let you buy the cutlery, plates, cups, sugar and coffee for the officers mess.
