bigtt76: I tell u. That piece of poor and disjointed trash up there is not worth reading. The part about the expatriates sitting "unruffled" in the bus while the action lasted is, to put it mildly, quite ludicrous. The cu.nt who wrote that piece up there must be patting himself on the back. That it was churned out from the desk of one of Nigeria's leading newspapers (vanguard) is absolutely disgusting. 2 Likes |

Hmmm.. The closest Police station to the scene was between Maroko Police station at Lekki Gate and Special Anti-Frad unit in Ikoyi and yet it took them well over 40 mins to respond.. On that Lekki Ikoyi bridge, there are two police checkpoints on either side of the bridge and yet the robbers stood in the streets unchallenged for over 30 mins before they left. That Lekki environs has a couple of banks and homes with armed policemen in them and yet none of them responded to engage the robbers. Abegi make we hear better news. 3 Likes |

Imagine if there was a fighter jet, would these guys escape? They did their perfect homework and things like this won't stop happening unless a fighter jet is available but they would rather pump money elsewhere 1 Like |

Don't they helicopter? An aerial surveillance on the motorways would have helped. Anyway I suspect the following.... 1. Men of Nigeria Navy 2. Bank officials 3. Bank officials (manager) 4. Pls fill in the gap |

ebyjoyken: It's not GEJ's fault obviously, he's not in charge of his security detail. But well armed Officers who are usually stationed at the Ikoyi end of the bridge, as well as a lot of other officers in various parts of Eti-osa were re-assigned temporarily to Marina area for the presidential visit, this led to the loophole which the robbers used. That area is usually one of most well policed areas in the country. Raiders: I'm sure they reacted, which is why the Ikeja SARS unit was scrambled to the scene (unfortunately they were too late), the ones with the President had to remain in that vicinity. It could have been a decoy move to draw away the President's security detail, protecting the President was number 1 priority to them. Rather than the useless banter about who's to blame or #Fasholajoker, our security forces should find a way to protect the President without compromising the security of other areas in the vicinity. 2 Likes |

ollah1: When robbers struck in the early hours of the day (8am) in Port Harcourt, the first respondents were the Mopols from the various banks and businesses in the area.. Those guys kept the robbers on their toes until back up arrived and finished them all up. The Nigerian Police are not private security men.. When duty calls, ideally there job is to swing into action to contain the situation and protect lives and property. But I get your point though.. 1 Like |
