Good day sir, I am a 500L chemical/ petrochemical engineering student of rsust. I have interests in petroleum exploration and production but I have questions bothering me like:
1. Should I get professional certifications or should I get an M.Sc in Reservoir Engineering?
2.How viable is this venture since I dont have basic petroleum engineering Knowledge
3. I have done my Research on IPS Uniport, IFS france, Texas A/M etc...which Institution gives proper training on petroleum Engineering Courses at affordable fees?
sir your prompt reply will do me good. Thank you very much
Both certification and MSc is very ok, if you are financially buoyant but i tell you it not a guaranty when it comes getting a job, even if you go to Texas or France for further education, it all about building your personality, I use to tell my student that i train don't get a job instead get a career, choose and exciting field and build your personality there as am talking to you now I have taken the inspection path fully for now, asset and reliability engineering role and i want to see what the future holds for me in the next 6yrs...you can start from the basic and watch your self grow the University degree that could not gets us job after graduation ask your self what's the point going back to same uni, most professional in the industry don't have MSc, build your personality, connect with professional after school and u smile some day, sorry for the delay in replying my schedule this year has been crazy..

Visual MODFLOW is the most complete, and user-friendly, modeling environment for practical applications in three-dimensional groundwater flow and contaminant transport simulation. This fully-integrated package combines powerful analytical tools with a logical menu structure. Easy-to-use graphical tools allow you to:
quickly dimension the model domain and select units
conveniently assign model properties and boundary conditions
run model simulations for flow and contaminant transport
calibrate the model using ma7nual or automated techniques
optimize pumping and remediation well rates and locations, and
Visualize the results using 2D or 3D graphics.
The model input parameters and results can be visualized in 2D (cross-section and plan view) or 3D at any time during the development of the model or the displaying of the results. For complete three-dimensional groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling, Visual MODFLOW is the best software package available.

Good day everyone. I have been following this thread for a while and i believe i would be able to get the best advice here. Please my friend and i are looking for internship slots. WE ARE REALLY AFTER THE EXPERIENCE AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN FROM PROFESSIONAL HANDS AND DO NOT MIND AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP. I am a geologist and he is an engineer. While i am in search of a mudlogger position he is in search of a roustabout position.

Having attended seminars and workshops, my friend and i are very familiar with rig operations and are fast learners as well. I strongly believe catching up would not be an issue.

Please we need advice on companies we can approach that READILY take interns. Any link to any of these companies would be much appreciated as well.

Thank you.

you can always apply for data from any oil companies...but it take time you first get a letter from your hod in school and send it to any exploration department stating the the type of data you want on your project,if you are a member. Of nape it is easy you use your chapter coordinator to get your data cheers
