The Truth About Youth Unemployment In Nigeria. by Nobody: 7:56pm On Mar 24, 2015
so much noise has been made about youth unemployment in the country that it appears the government had failed in providing Jobs for the over 70 million youths living the country.
when I couldn't tolerate the noise anymore I carried out a survey amongst the youths for an organization ( name with held) and this is how I arrivEd on the following figures.
. I went into 10 different streets in states, in each street I randomly selected ten youths between age 18 to 35 and here are the results.

approximately;
2 out of each 10 is a secondary school drop out, doing a labourer's job, driving keke or a petty trader.
3 out of each 10 have completed their secondary school and two out the three are seeking admission in a tertiary institution while the other one can't afford to further.
2 out of each 10 are student of a tertiary institution.
3 out of each 10 are graduate, one of them gainfully employed, another is unemployed but is running some stuffs to earn a living and the other has nothing doing or has a below average result.
From this you can deduce that about 70% of the youths on the streets are UNDERGRADUATES and " UNEMPLOYABLE "• 10% are GRADUATES but "UNDEREMPLOYED " . Another 10% are GRADUATES too but UNEMPLOYED and the other 10% are GRADUTES as well and gainfully employed.

So next time you are talking about employment, stop making it look as if the Government has failed to provide job for every youths on the street.
Rather let's talk about the government making education accessible and affordable and taking our studies seriously.

Where do you get the authority to generalize this jungle random sampling research?

That poo should be limited to your area. Come to Abuja and see graduates working in block industries. That 70% you gave undergraduates should be given to graduates.

I guess insurgency has blown graduates away from JOS

If you know the truth about unemployment in this country, you'll ask the united nations to declare Nigeria "a humanitarian crisis", you need to see what some people have to do to eke out a living.

The same person that said 70% of unemployed youths are undergraduates. Stupid question!
