Your Gripen is the C/D standard. There isn't a shred of doubt about it.

A Gripen should not be mentioned in the same sentence with an SU-30. It's a great disservice and an insult to that marvel of Russian Engineering.

The SU-30 is the world's best 4th Gen fighter.
Our Gripen have the localy developed Cobra HMD, and allot of the Avionics are also manufactured in SA

And the Gripen is superior to the SU-30 and i backed it up by posting the specs of each aircraft.

Gripen has better:
Wing loading
RCS(better by 9900%, and yes its really better by 9900%)
Range
Stall speed
avionics
ect
ect

and FYI the MAWS and LWS of the SU-30MKM are manufactured in SA.

SAAF did NOT fire ANY missile exercise Lion Effort, it was a video game cat and mouse chase around the air with other countries that have ZERO air combat experience in modern times. The Gripen family of users is a social club of Countries that have NOT fought any war in the past 20 years.

NAF has flown 6,000 combat missions in the past 6 months and we fired near BVR missiles in real combat training with world power Pakistani air force in game of death combat training
.

Lol okay. I see. Interesting.

So those missiles on the wingtips are not live. They are training missiles which you said WE DO NOT HAVE.

Gripen fired the A-darter a few days ago.

A-Darter missile is NOT in service, I said IRIS-T current SAAF missile.

Anyway, lets still ridicule you a bit :

One lone Gripen fired one lone A-Darter into empty air for manufacturers test experiment.

Who was the other jet fighter pilot attacking that Gripen in mock air to air dogfight? Which country's air force played the role of enemy?

Was that a war game, combat training exercise? Big No !

NAF is confirmed to have got PL-9C near BVR missile training rounds and we flew into live air to air combat training against the powerful Pakistani air force to fire BVR missiles.

This is the most ignorant comment i've read all year.

How an individual could possibly say the Gripen C/D is better than an SU-30 is down right frightening. To even compare a Gripen to an MKI, same MKI that took American F-15's to the cleaners.

The Ignorance in his comment is un-comprehensible.
You do realize our retired Cheetahs were able to down F-15s, its nothing to boast about, American fighter are and always will be Kak!

The SU-30's is a great 3rd gen + fighter but it was built to counter the F-16 and F-18's used by predominantly Western powers. But it no longer holds an edge, that's why Russia is focusing on SU-35's to counter the growing threat of the F-22, F-35(still in development), Gripen Jas39C/NG, Eurofighter and lastly the Rafale.

Since you dream so much can you explain why India the second largest user of the SU-30's outside Russia is currently opting to buy 126 Rafale fighters.

Did you say Su30 is 3rd generation? Boy, I now know that I am dealing with dumbos..

1st Gripen delivered to SAAF in 2008. 2015-2008 =/= 15 years. 15 is a number conjured up in the depths of your imagination. I believe 2 or 3 pilots were sent to Sweden to train on the Gripen before that 1st delivery. How many Nigerian pilots are currently in China for the JF-17's "you're getting this year"?

Keep throwing the number 9 around. We must have an extreme overflow of Hawk pilots by now, since according to what you say non of them move onto the Gripen.

Gripen contracts were penned 15 years ago. Serious Airforce's begin pilot trainings as soon as formalities are done with. Unfortunately, the SAAF cannot be considered as a serious Airforce.

The Czech Republic who are the 2nd export customer, after South-Africa, are already planning on building Gripen pilots training center. This while the SAAF is stuck with 9 pilots doing only 3 hours per month, Pathetic!!

Your Gripen contracts were signed in 1999, that's 16 years. All the more embarrassing, 16 years with only 9 pilots to show undecided undecided

Did you sign Nigeria's JF-17 contracts?

All evidence we've seen shows the SAAF only has 18 Gripen Aircrew for 26 planes. 9 fighter pilots and 9 navigators.

You should truly, truly be ashamed.

You mothballed them because you are broke.

Your senile Generals purchased a fighter they cannot afford.

You only have 9 Gripen Pilots. Czech republic already has 50 pilots for their Gripen fleet.

You cannot afford Aviation fuel.

You also only have 3 C-130's and 10 Half-French Helicopters for an over 1.2 million square kilometers.

Your A109s spend most of there time in the Hangar than in the Air. Another prime example of incompetence. You bought a mini transport Helicopter you cannot afford.

The SAAF is an example of what an Airforce shouldn't be.

No Gripen are mothballed - we are operating them at minimum levels because we have no enemies.

Czech have 50 AIRCREW. So if they have 50 pilots, then we have 18. Thanks for that frank admission.

22 0000 hours budgeted for and 18 000 flown says otherwise

We have C130's and size does not dictate defence needs.

Citation needed for A109's

So - you posted a whole bunch of nonsense. Shall we talk about your airforce?

You have mad multiple aircraft crashes due to poor maintenance

You suffer from BLOCK OBSOLECANCE

You have no modern platforms capable of effective combat recce, deployment of of PGM's

You have no data-link

You have less helicopters than us

Your incompetant groundcrews allowed your C130's to degraded to the state that they had to leave the country and be completely rebuilt!

Your military is a joke. SAAF is an airforce that NAF could only dream of being.

Nigeria has the most advanced 100% black nation driven defense industry in the world.

South Africa is NOT a 100% black nation, you have millions of white European citizens that ruled the country and have been busy transferring technology on a massive scale from their brothers in Europe down to South Africa for over 100 years non-stop.

If Nigeria got that privileged level of white European direct full scale technology transfer, even Japan will envy us by now !
.

How does 100% black have to do with anything?

It has nothing to do with anything. Its just another example of Nigerians having to make excuses for their complete and utter inferiority!

Your defence industry is the same as the scribbles of a 5 year old child compared to us.

That is the simple fact.

Nope, the Cobra HMD is manufactured by BAE systems.

BAE Systems plc is a British multinational defence, security and aerospace company headquartered in London in the United Kingdom and with operations worldwide.

No Gripen avionic is manufactured by South-Africa.

The rest of your post are ramblings of a mad man.

How can a Gripen which has a range of 800km have a better range than the SU-30 which has a 3200km undecided undecided

Or a Gripens 8 Hard-points be better than 12 on the SU-30

Bigger planes carry bigger munitions

Bigger planes also have higher wing loading and higher stall speeds. Also, all that Su30 armament is going to affect its super-cruise abilities (unlike the Gripen)

So, the Su30 is less maneuverable, more susceptible to stalls and less efficient

18 Aircrew = 18 pilots

USAF jets crash regularly.

F-7NI jet crashed have been stopped by NAF.

NAF lost 4 jets in 8 years and NONE in the last 3 years of combat operation in North East where the NAF F-7 jets fly combat sorties almost every day, and NONE has crashed after doing hundreds of combat operations, it even seems the jets do better in war time than in peace time, war-monger battle-hungry F-7 jets !
.

Augustus

You lost a helicopter and a jet last year alone
