I also have UBA in my portfolio so this is not a matter of emotions. I want to understand the dynamics. Is it that UBA is so strong that it absorbed so much volumes in one day with less than 5% impact on share price? Or is there somebody orchestrating something somewhere?

Bro, the opening price normally dictate the %gain/loss. Open price of UBA as at today was N4.03. I have a feeling UBA has done a lot og investors on this thread STRONG THING (I'm not excluded but learnt to move on ASAP)

Look at the volumes today Sir. In the last 200 trading sessions, UBA hasn't done up to half of todays volume on any day, not even when it dropped to 2.96. Ask your broker who the counterparty (buyer) was for almost all those trades.

You are in order. I am heavy on uba so i am happy that it remains attractive to many. I'm not in uba for dividend and was not expecting any at all, uba having just been in the market struggling to raise money. I am positioned for the post election bull, which will be boosted by the euphoria of Q1 results releases, to be kick-started by gtb, zenith and access. So what is happening is a golden buying opportunity for those in cash. Uba is top 5, and (self-styled) Africa's Global Bank, so no shaking.

Uba is not a bank that you should put your money on. Tony does as he pleases. TOE as his staff calls him launders UBA money. He is the reason for the banks growth and downfall.

Sir, without contemplating, no one can time and predict the directions of the market (even the analyst sometimes get it wrong), but the certainty of the bearish warning really scare many many people away especially newbies. As for me, am still waiting for the grand papa of BULL not bear as per post-election rally (with our expectations that God will take control of the election and it will be violence free).

The result wasnt bad . They really grew. The div payment is also ok. I would hv done d same thing if am in dt board. You cant be looking for money to raise ur stake in d sector and as well be sharing money. You have to find a way to retain it. Shareholders shld pray for successful capital raising. It is after then they can expect to get d kind of div they are expecting no.

Next skye bank and fidelity. Fidelity has a history of consistent payment of div. Lets see if they can repeat this year. I dont trade Fidelity cos of d large OS. For skye, they will be needing much money to consolidate their acquisations. Though they have good div history, I dont expect much div here, bt i expect very good result.

Bro, i watched the market and i can affirm someone was mopping up those shares. I personally saw over 20mil being whizzed away in less than 15mins. Funny thing is that there was hardly ever any bid for UBA shares but of course many folks (including me too) trying to get out of Tony's boat and whoever was behind this 'clean out' never went beyond 3.83!

Anyway, i'll wait till after the elections!
