i said if cleverley had a striker like messi in his team who takes about 33% of the total shots taken by the entire team and scores at least 1/3 of the shots taken then cleverley's key pass or assist stat would be higher.

you then went on to show stats that messi took 22 more shots than van persie that had 38/38 league game appearance. it means messi was more effective than van persie that season & he took more shots in less number of minutes than van persie. cleverley in their team would cop more assists/key passes.
