I am a Lagos indigene... while i did not support the speech of the Oba in whatever context he made it..... the subsequent vituperations and total lack of tact deployed by some people to the extent of denigrating the royal stool is really annoying...No where else and i mean no where else can that be tolerated.

See tribalism, but you people were comfortable calling your president, the number one man of this country clueless You must be a fool to join those stupid yorubas for keep on dividing this country along tribal line. By the way who be OPC sef

there are so many igbo businesses flourishing in the North so what's ur point? I don't hear the Northerners tell the igbos that they accommodate them and they treat them well so they should shut up and not express themselves when aggrieved .....I don't hear these same comments in PH....I don't hear it in Edo state......I don't hear it in Kano.....I don't hear these accommodating statements in abuja.......u don't hear the sultan of sokoto make these kinds of statements even if they have their own hate too....which every tribe does.....so why is it like a hit track in lagos most especially that they won't allow us rest...?? Is lagos state the only major state in Nigeria where you have igbos?? Its not like as if when the igbos came the obas called them and dashed them wives, lands and gave them properties......whatever they have they worked for it and they pay their taxes......even if yall decide to be violent and start burning and destroying properties, there would still be igbos doing their business......please stop these talk....all tribes accommodate even the northerners are very nice people just that religion wahala......

You are deceiving yourself. You know how many of your IGbo businessmen that were slaughtered by the Northerners. Mumu! How many of them were killled in Lagos?

Go and sit down.

Guess when deji of akure was chased down d thrown for pouring his enstranged wife hot ash, his throne was not desecrated, or is it bc a yoruba was involved?

I can see How tribalistic some of u are, apologies to d well mannered yorubas, But most of u are very silly.

U are yapping dust bc igbos is involved this time. A king that mess up his throne does not deserve to be spared most especially an arrogant one like oba akiolu.

APC did not insult ndigbo, so the so called apology never existed. The oba must apologise or keep receiving insult.

I refuse to respect oba akiolu henceforth and all igbos should do same. U cant match on d head of a whole ethnic group and expect commendation.

Oba akiolu is a foolish bastard untill he apologises.

4ck you people that run your mouths on how you are good 'hosts' and how you 'allow' Igbos and their businesses to prosper in Lagos. Last time I checked, any Nigerian can own properties in any part of the country. The Yor0bas fought to keep Nigeria one and are quick to remind us how the Igbos were defeated during the civil war. Well, congratulations on your defeat. We emerged from defeat and have embrace your one Nigeria. Did the Yor0bas donate free land to the Igbos? How are you exactly our host? Has any Yor0ba been prevented from buying land in the East? A woman was charged in the UK for telling a black man in the train to go back to his country, yet you 1diots defend your Oba who threatened Igbos with death. He will be the first to die in the lagoon. Anumanu

Under no circumstance should anybody disrespect Yoruba king. People are free to hide under the internet and talk nonsense against the Oba of lagos but they are not born well to dare the Oba; and that is why d Eze and igbo chiefs did applause the Oba of lagos when he made the controversial statement. What Oba meant in his statement is that lagos is not 'NO MAN'S LAND'

The evidence of the claim above can be found in the fact that Yorubaland as a whole is the most cosmopolitan area in Nigeria. We Yoruba have allowed other tribes to own businesses, properties and even contest and hold political positions on Yoruba soil in a manner unreciprocated anywhere else in Nigeria.

this is trash as long as the nigerian constitution is concerned, every nigerian has a right to live and work in any part of the country without molestation or intimidation,so based on this, there is nothing like yourubaland or igbo land or housa land,in lagos an igbo man should have the same right as every other nigerian, unless the yourubas wants to tell me that we are no longer one nigeria.i hate it when they say they accomodated the rest of the people, are we no longer the same people, same country? abeg make them divide this country make we waka go our own jor.,,,,what nonesence.

The point now is that why is the oba debacle overflogged?

For an igboman to become a commissioner in lagos i don't see a big deal there, lagos was our capital for almost a century, the igbos contributed over 40% to it's development, most infrastructure there where being built using the oil money from the east e.g murtala mohammed int'l airport, third mainland bridge, eko bridge,nitel,t.b.s,national theatre, peugeut assembly plant ojo, apapa seaport, tincan island seaport, lekki seaport, constain flyover, oshodi flyover, badagry exp. Way,apapa-oshodi exp. Way and many more, when the fg(with the oil money from the east),the igbos, the yorubas, the hausas and other minority group finish developing abuja and the gwaris comes tomorrow to say that they developed it by themselves that the non-indigenes should be grateful to them,is it not ungratefulness?
did I just read oil money from the east.?? maybe palm oil money... as at the last time I checked it was only niger delta that produces crude oil. stop spreading lies

talking about hospitality...aren't we not Nigerians...? When the Biafra case happened the so called Nigerians killed and forced the ibos back. Now they are shouting kill again? Men Nigerians can't be as civilized as the west. Imagine a Native of California telling a New Yorker go back home or we are giving you hospitality. Fuccked up niggers called Nigerians.
that's because a New Yorker will reciprocate the deed. Igbo people are. not as hospitable as Yorubas. that's a fact. Igbo people treat visiting Yoruba people in the east like aliens. it's wrong and condemnable. It is hypocritical to hold other people to a higher standard than you hold yourself.

They are thinking like tribesmen, totally oblivious of the basic concept of why people live together. They misunderstood the evolutionary concept of hunter gathering, small settlements, hamlets, towns, cities, municipalities, states, countries, regions and continents. And even space.

They killed millions of igbos to keep Nigeria together, yet they are the ones already tired of the units n. If they dont want one country, let the country split up amicably, then the people will know their places.
