theV0ice: Then I guess you don't reside and also know anything happening in Ekiti. What are the illegitimate things Fayose did? Abeg, list them out? Also list out the grounds for impeachment. He slapped a serving judge, and the 19 Lawmakers are avenging for the Judge abi, a Chief Judge of a State is who we talking bout and he hasn't challenged him whatsoever. Its APC that are helping him? This is one sensible thing Buhari can do, call the law makers to a round table talk. These Lawmakers have forgotten they have elections this saturday. Let him even say watever, he is a partyleader and still has strong influence even more as President Elect.if he can have any influence over his Party member, how then can he manage them when he is sworn in as President. Those ones will take laws into intheir own hands and he won't be able to tell them to stopa.. Common, this man is suppose to be an ANTI-CORRUPTION CRUSADER... That means even the citizen of the state is none of his business. Didn't he come to Lagos to canvass vote for ambode? So why can't he talk to the 19 lawmakers? This man called Fayose has only four years... They should let him be. Atleast, did he rigged the results for the presidency too in his state? Common, let's be honest here... |

dabossman: Let's put it in proper perspective... It is the law makers's action that is causing the people to react and inciting violence... |

hush15: have you by any chance come accross the impeachment notice?? here they are below In the letter by the 19 lawmakers titled, “Re: Notice of Allegations of Gross Misconduct,” sent to Fayose, the APC lawmakers listed eight impeachable offences against the governor. These offences bordered on impunity, brigandage, stalking and other constitutional breaches. These included alleged invasion of the House of Assembly with thugs and miscreants, instigating an unconstitutional takeover of the House by seven legislators to sit in contravention of Section 96(2) of the 1999 Constitution, and prevention of the 19 APC legislators from performing their duties with the use of security agents and armed thugs. Other allegations listed in the notice are: sponsoring an unlawful impeachment process in the house, spending Ekiti State funds without the requisite constitutional approval in contravention of the constitution and running the government without legally constituted Executive Council in contravention of Section 192(2) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They also accused the governor of operating an illegal 2014 budget as well as sponsoring and instigating illegal sitting of the House in contravention of Section 96(1) of the Constitution. mention what you have against each of those points? If Fayose isn't guilty, then let him reply the notice and disprove all they said. Is that too difficult? Also, you understand nothing about democratic processes if you compare canvassing votes for Ambode with interfering with the legitimate legislative duties of elected lawmakers 2 Likes |

dabossman: As a Party Leader who is the President Elect, he can discuss with them and encourage them to work in harmony. All structures restored. And the state is at peace. Everybody wins and Ekiti is advancing. Democracy is strenghtened. Atleast, someone sacrifices for the peace we having now. Such should be sustained. |

flopriddy: Fear, what is fear? Fear is a hindrance, a limitation. Why do we fear? Cos we feel there is no hope. Where there is hope, we shouldnt be afraid to take bold step towards it. Lagos State for the last sixteen years, has been empowering few. Those few has cascaded fear into the hearts of lagosians. As such, they have to themselves from one government to another, as the only veritable solutions to the fears. Brothers and Sisters, Lagos is in shackles. They give us little, yet they take so much from us. This can't happen for another 4 to 8yrs. We then are gradually shifting to anarchy and that can be reflected in the recent comments made by a supposedly first class Oba in the State. We need to break off these shackles even before we residents become a full slave of own state. We have seen hope. We have hope. JK is hope. He has an impeccable track record of administration out of which brought the emergence of the then governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Alliance for Democracy. He is, in his own class, intellectually sound and administravely sharp, also to mention independently minded to govern the affairs of Lagos State. He is the symbol of Hope for Lagos State to deliver from the the economic rape and oppression faced by the current government. As we march out to vote this saturday, let's embrace hope. Let's take a bold step into new initaitives while we reconcile old ones for a better Lagos. For the first time in four years, we can grow according to our strenght as a state. Ireespective of political affiliation, we can truly enjoy the lagos of our dreams, you can have a lagos for you. JK , we know. JK we love. Vote Jimi Kolawole Agbaje, Vote PDP for a Lagos for you.... 1 Like |

kolomax: You need to understand the genesis of this before you can say Fayose is wrong. 6 members didn't just wake up one day to impeach 19 members. Shortly after Fayemi lost the elections, and the tribunals too... With Fayose stepping in, they fear that business as usual would become business unusal made the law maker fret and that came up where appointments started trinkling in as the lawmakers felt their interest would be Joepardized. The started giving the governor tough time. Don't forget, Fayemi didn't show up on the handing over date to hand over to Fayose. They gave Fayose a very tough time appointing his cabinets amongst others. And that's how the whole wahala started. Fayose may has stretched it abit but any ekiti person can be very obstinate and impulsive. Its an ekiti thing... Take it or leave it. Neway, the saga grew to the lawmakers retreating to lagos with tinubu and co, trying to run from lagos and the people left are the ones in the party. For the governor to move on with the state, unfortunately, he had to do with the legislators he had. They won't come into reconciliation or settlement and they never appeared again till APC won the Presidential elections. All the time they supposed impeached speaker was responding to all impeachment cases, he was doing so from Lagos here. Now APC has won presidential, they feel empowered and the urge to exercise such new powers. They want to impeach him for nothing but on personal grounds. PDP now calls to the President Elect to meet with his aggrieved members and tell them to act honorably and it is a sin to do so... Let's be objective, what do they gain by impeaching him? Humiliation... How does that help the ekiti state and people. The Ekiti people voted for. Fayose and that can't be denied. If people vote and some assembly members are not trying to deny them their mandate, you should expect the violence happening now. Why now dialogue and have win win situation, if not becos they have an uterior motive... 1 Like |

theV0ice:God bless you for that post. And for all those Fayose sympathizers, welcome to a new Nigeria where the rule of law prevails over hooliganism. Abeg, how else do u want the legislators to operate? Is it contrary to the constitution they have sworn to defend? Let everyone who is learned say the contrary. You ain't seen nothing else. By the way, why did he go to the same court which he has desecrated by slapping its judge to ask for injunction to prevent his impeachment, I think he is out of his wits end. 2 Likes |

dabossman: When you are greeted with Hostility after winning a governorship election, even so bad that the previous governor won't even be present himself to handover the state to the incoming governor, then you should expect fustration and manipulations to distract your government by co party members of the previous governor to distabilize the present government. Well, Fayose may have reacted impulsively and a little brute but you all should understand his reason. Ekiti people pride in themselves more often time than they should, making it easy to ride on their ego. However, the journey embarked upon by the law makers is nothing but a personal vendatta. They not even bother bout returning to the elective post as the election is just a day away. Till may 29, if booting out Fayose is their last assignment, so be it. For me, I still don't blame Fayose. He his protecting his job and the mandate given to him. Let's see how it goes but I think APC should be cautioned and stopped so this high handedness cos they are at the center. This very same reason we all keep blaming the PDP for... |

He played deaf ears to all dis.. whereas he was fuelling d whole saga behind d scene. PDP should stop behaving like saints. And they should stop riding on d so called Call made to Buhari by GEJ.
