The killings will only stop when Jesus returns at the end of time to defeat the devil and his angels finally. From time immemorial, people painfully have been dying and as long as the devil is alive people will continue to die, quite sadly. In Luke 13:1-5, read what happened and what Jesus reaction was:

Unknown gunmen have opened fire on petty traders in Kaduna village, killing 14 people including a 70-year-old man.

Residents said the gunmen opened fire on people who were buying and selling at Sabon Birni Deji market in Igabi local government on Monday afternoon.

According to Abubakar, the gunmen stormed the market and shot at random in the market, killing the 14 people and injuring many others.

The secretary of Miyetti Allah in Kaduna State, Mallam Iliyasu Aliyu, told our correspondent that herdsmen were the main target of the gunmen.

“They stormed the market on Monday afternoon, shooting and killing people. Some of the survivors are now receiving treatment at a private hospital,” he said.

Meanwhile, residents of Gidan Waya, a community in Jema’a local government and its environs, were under siege as thousands of soldiers surrounded the community following the killing of a colon

Few weeks ago, there was a clash between some army personnel and some unknown youths which led to the killing of six people.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the siege on Gidan Waya, a community hosting the Kaduna State College of Education, was as a result of the killing of the two military men, whose weapons were also taken away by gunmen.

A resident who identify himself as Bulus said the gunmen attacked the the colonel and one soldier at a filling station where they had stopped to fuel their car.

“As they were there, unknown gunmen from nowhere opened fire on them, killed a colonel and a corporal. Another soldier was also shot in the hand but he survived it.

“Right now, thousands of security men have barricaded the community. No car is allowed to come in, neither is allowed to go out. Cars from Abuja, Jos, Kaduna and Kafanchan were forced to return because there is no road. We don’t know what to do,” the resident said.

when the REC for kaduna announced to Jega that 37 polling units were cancelled in the presidential election in Southern Kaduna, i knew the governorship will be bloody.

I have my worries for Lagos and Rivers...those two states are icking time bombs if not well managed by our security forces. Lagos is too crowded to have ethnic crisis.

If Ambode wins Lagos there will be less violence because Igbos i know will never leave business to fight but we can't vouch that Tinubu will accept result if Jimi is declared winner and most touts will want to express their anger on Igbos. this will spread violence.

whatever necessary to curb the looming violence must be done, i am aware that in the last few days Igbos who hitherto cared less about the election have acquired arms in protection.

One area the new government needs to quickly work on is our justice system, crimes like kidnapping, murder and terrorism must punishable with death, nigeria needs special fast track courts for these kinds of crimes cases, right now the justice system is non existen, the system is run by the police who determine who is sent to jail and who is set free, the system is a broken failure not fit for its purpose, when there is no deterent human lives become cheap and our lands become a wild west, first the Nigeria police force needs a watchdog, an independent body of capable technocrats with backgrounds in security and law to over see police, we also have to update our police colleges to modern centres of excellence, and create more branches of inter-disciplines within the police force , e.g forensics, transportation, Data records etc, we should request asistance from developed countries in areas such as training in modern investigative techniques, with so many unempolyed graduates the govt can create national and regional training centres for these young men and women as fast track routes into specialise departments of the force.

Igbo possess some arms! Na today? That is why they commit robbery than any other tribes. They have penchant for money and they can do anything to get rich including killing their own brothers or wives.
