i intend to apply for a tourist visa with my wife to travel on vacation for our 5years wedding anniversary (may 29), we have a registered business (Enterprise with daily inflow) which bears her name as the sole proprietor, we have travelled together once to Dubai.

Please help.

1: can i say that we run the business together?
2: my wife is 4 years older than me, will it influence the decision of the VO negatively?
3: my wife was recently refused a schengen visa, will that count against us?
4: Since the business is registered in her name, will it be right to make her the principal applicant ?
5: Which part of the USA would be a plus to us considering our purpose of travel?
6: I have got around 4.9m in my account, should i stand as the sole sponsor of the trip?
7: can i also indicate that i filled the form on her behalf? because i will be filling both forms.

1. If you guys tun the business together, you state it as such.
2. The VO's job is to determine if you are eligible for a visa, without more. Are you legally married? Yes. E no concern her the age difference. Is she a marriage consellor?
3. There's no place in the form for refusal of other visas so its not an issue. You won't be asked and Don't go mentioning it.
4. Both of you are above 18 so you each stand alone though you'l be interviewed together. Nothing like principal applicant.
5. Vegas. Chicago. New york.Or Disneyworld in Florida . Me and LordGuinivere used Disneyworld (yes, we know we are agbayas ) However which ever state you do decide on, you must know its exciting places and why you guys wanna go there.
6. With 4.5m in the account, you can be a sponsor for both of you. Have u been receiving a steady income however?
7. Mbok after filling the form, show her to go through and indicate she was the one that filled the form. Always keep it simple.
8. Please read back on this thread for more helpful tips.

schengen visa have nothing to do with USA visa,just fill in the ds form correctly,,u can not defend ur wife because vo decide on individual differences,if u n ur wife runs the business kindly tell the vo the truth,since u both have travel out to dubai u both have a better chance of getting the visa although those with without travel xperience also got visa it depend on the mindset of the vo n ur ability to proove ur strong tie,but i suggest u should proove ur own tie n leave ur wife business for her so it wil be more strong n u can wake up from today n say u wil travel to american tomorow 29 april is wrong, xtend ur plan to enable u package n prepare urself,,ur account is ok for the trip,,u can chuse affordable state with cheap hotel like florida,new jersey etc go n get ur visa with ur u both have a good chance,,,,,remember most back up document like prayer for for the greatest chance,,God is able go n pick ur visas,,,mana chukwu gozie gi biakwa kele,udo diri unu

i don't really have steady incomes, they are random deposits, most times huge, because i am a Civil Engineer and most jobs i do are construction jobs.
My wife's account has steady inflow from her daily sales and also huge deposits some times from contracts ( still have General Contracts on the certificate of registration)
Lastly, since its registered in her name, will i be asked why my name is not included?

She should be able to know what she sells in a Month, deduct all your over head & miscellaneous expenses and arrive at her Monthly income, same should apply to you, explain how you get your jobs and what you make averagely, the VO's understand that some Businesses in Nigeria are not documented so they will have a way to get around that but that should not pose a negative for you in your visa quest.......the most important thing is to be truthful and honest in all your explanations, dont answer a question or explain what you are not asked........

will she also deduct the cost of buying the sold items? and then record only the profit as her income? or its the total amount (cost of purchase included)?

O2tvseries income -profit she makes after buying and selling her goods. The end. U do not have to deduct dstv and other bills. It is expected that one has bills and living expenses which you survive on from your income.

Namek I believe you have asked this same question before and if not me, somebody else has answered. If you made a mistake in the form, u explain during the interview.
As per virgin passport, I'm sure you have seen this before, but lemme repeat again: a virgin passport can get visa. Calculate how much you will spend for your trip minus the ones being covered by your friend -i.e feeding and accomodation. That's the basic minimum you need to have in your account.

Finally, to all future applicants please this 'it is urgent' something don de tire person. If you have that rushed attitude, you will be scattered during the interview. Take your time and prepare your application

I printed my company bank statements, after having a lengthy discussion with my friend, he made me to understand I am suppose to print my personal bank statement since I didn't indicate that on my form I have summited already. I don't know if it's possible to reschedule my interview date without payment the visa fee. I Applied for for my family (wife and son). Please I need an urgent advice on what best to do right now. Applicants must have at least six months validity on their passports at the time of application. Consider renewing your passport before your visa interview.

While the majority of our applicants are approved, we must unfortunately refuse others due to a lack of strong ties to Nigeria. “Ties" are the various aspects of your life that bind you to your country of residence: your possessions, employment, social and family relationships.

Applicants without prior international travel are not automatically refused visas. Prior travel is just one factor we consider when discerning whether or not an applicant is qualified for U.S. visa. When an applicant answers truthfully that they have no prior travel, this enables the interviewing officer to move on to another line of questioning that may or not result in visa issuance. Adding fake travel stamps and/or visas to your passport will only result in an automatic denial and in some circumstances, a lifetime ban on traveling to the United States called 6(C)(i).

About Letters of Invitation:
You may provide a letter of invitation or support. However, this cannot guarantee visa issuance to a foreign national friend, relative or student. Visa applicants must qualify for the visa according to their own circumstances, not on the basis of an American sponsor's assurance.

Subsequent Applications after a Refusal:
Applicants are refused for different reasons. If you are refused a visa be sure to read the denial letter that you received at the conclusion of your interview. This letter will tell you whether or not you are eligible to reapply. A 6(C)(i) refusal is a permanent ineligibility for fraud and misrepresentation. One should be very careful before engaging in any actions that could be misconstrued as being a misrepresentation or fraud.

When someone is denied for a lack of ties to Nigeria or under section 214(b), these applicants have the legal right to reapply. In these situations, the applicant must pay another fee, submit a new application, and schedule a new interview. The applicant ‘s subsequent interview would be with a different interviewing officer if possible.

Applicants with prior refusals should be prepared to show further evidence of their ties or how their circumstances have changed since the time of the original application. It may help to answer the following questions before reapplying: (1) Did I explain my situation accurately? (2) Did the consular officer overlook something? (3) Is there any additional information I can present to establish my residence and strong ties abroad?

So is there a 90-day ban on reapplying after a 214(b) refusal?
No. The consular officer will reconsider a case when an applicant reapplies, if an applicant can show further convincing evidence of ties outside the United States. Unfortunately, some applicants will not qualify for a nonimmigrant visa, regardless of how many times they reapply, until their personal, professional, and financial circumstances change considerably.

Please note that very few of these decisions are overturned within 90 days because it is very hard to build stronger ties to Nigeria in less than 3 months. It takes time to build stronger ties- months or even years. An applicant can influence an officer to change a prior visa denial only through the presentation of new and convincing evidence of strong ties.

Hello!
My mails and calls enquiries to the CC was that they will not interview anyone with 2 different confirmation numbers so i should re-book another appointment if i am still interested to travel.
It was a stupid mistake from my side so i had to get the money as the applicant is my uncle(i didnt tell him till i booked another appointment)
So I finally had to pay another visa fee for a new appointment. I was lucky to get same appointment date as the last'.
His interview date is next week Monday(20/4/15).
