I don't really understand your question oo.. Its not really a good idea to present only money in Fixed deposit account..the VOs study the flow of money in the accounts..so its better to present money in Savings/domiciliary/current accounts then use d FD account to spice it up..so ask your sponsor to combine the two accounts..*i stand to be corrected*

Thanks a lot bro! I understand now

Hello NLers,

Can see you are doing a superb work enlightening academic enthusiasts.

I am currently pursuing a master degree in petroleum engineering for falls 2015.

I have applied to a few universities
Memorial (admitted) MASc Oil And Gas Engineering
Dalhousie (admitted) M.Eng Chemical Engineering
Regina (Pending) M.Eng Petroleum System Engineering
Calgary (Pending)M. Eng Petroleum Engineering
Alberta (Rejected)

I'll like to solicit your advice on the offer I should take out of the available 4.
Also how do I go about fInancial funding as none has given me a scholarship.
With plans to obtain a Permanent Visa and work experience which takes priority.
Lastly, do well to give me an idea of cost of living, tuition and miscellaneous fees of each school.

Please is there a specific format sponsors' letters ( Affidavit of sponsorship, letter of sponsorship)
I truely respect your commitments and efforts NLers, many will not know the value of these information until they are billed rather handsomely.

Good people of nairaland, much respect. am about to apply for my visa, got admited to sask poly for pgd business management,my tuition os $14k,i made payment of $1k.,i have most of my documents in check, but i have some worries i havnt been able to figure out what exactly to do,I'll appreciate any assistance.I have not worked since my NYSC 2011,right now my mum is my sponsor, with 4.2M as balance in her personal account, together with her CAC certificate(business name),were i happen to be an assistant director.but the bank account created with the business has long been closed, and she never paid tax for the business. However, she has been operating with her personal account.I have no pay slip nor personal account statement to show, and iam sopos to front with the business on my CV that i have been working as the assistant director in the company, although there is a doc to show that i am a partner in the business.right now iam confused between obtaining LIRS or FIRS tax clearance certificate.from what i have gathered, they say the LIRS is for personal tax clearance showing that she has been paying her taxes, while the FIRS is for the business which has been operating. So which will cover me,will i also need draft an acceptance letter?..thNks in anticipation for ur response

@Kzee001 Hello, you have not worked or u av worked in your mum's company?? Your mum's business should have letter head paper which can be used to draft your letter of employment (which states the job u do in the company)... Pls tell her to pay to LIRS, my mum used LIRS and was even given an Id card.. The difference btw LIRS and FIRs is who u pay to Lagos state or Federal STATE... She shld use her personal account but state it in the avidafit of support or letter of introduction as sponsor that she runs an account with THIS bank (her personal bank)... Acceptance letter? What's that for? The payslip and ur personal account is an issue I don't av an opinion on so I don't give a wrong advice...

I work for my dad who is sponsoring me.
Must I back date an employment letter as I didnnt collect one.
He already drafted a leave letter. Would just that suffice.
don't backdate nothing. a letter of introduction from the company stating your job responsibilities, unit/division you work under, date of employment, salary structure will be just fine. The letter should also state that you hope the knowledge you obtained will help the upliftment of the company (you could highlight that your father owns the company). i don't think backdating an employment letter is necessary.

i think you're good to go sha. you could add more important company documents (lpos, work contracts, receipts etc) and maybe beef up the sponsor account abit (even get a co sponsor if possible). as long the pgd has a strong coherence with your bachelors. finally pray cos God answers prayers. all the best!

@seyiMiilan...thanks a million times..by acceptance letter,i meant employment letter.,me submiting employment letter, along with a ref letter from her company, also puting her company as her source of livelihood isnt going to raise questions on the company's tax clearance?and regarding my SOA and payslip,i was thinking of stating that its a family business, and my mum is the sole administrator, she takes care of all monetory issues,so i dont get paid by the month nor have payslips...and i heard that the federal clearance is going2b in d company's name, while the state is going to be in her name..since iam using her business as my place of work, which do you think is best,i use the federal clearance, at least to show that were i claim iv been working has been tax cleared.jst my thought. Thanks so much,I really appreciate.i intend to apply next week, online route.pls ur ideas are already of great help

]. 1) let mumc draft an employment letter for u using her company's letter head (since u work there as a director)... She can also give u a letter of introduction using her company's letter head.(As ur Boss) ..2) she is ur sponsor so don't mix both up, try and seperate the sponsor n Boss... As ur sponsor, u wld need all document of the work she does, tax payment, her receipts to prove the company is running and produces enough cash which wld be used to pay ur fees n finance ur stay in canada. Pls use d LIRS afterall ur mum solely owns the business... Am sorry, I don't av an opinion bout the payslip (pls any lil money u av in a savings account, u can use it as ur personal SOA)...

Go ahead and submit your documents. Age does not have anything to do with your studies. Make sure you fill all loopholes in your employment history so it doesn't look like your intention of study is otherwise.
You have to go to other countries and see at what age people make up their minds to go to school. You will be surprised.
Moreover canada and united States have some laws in common, you can never discriminate anyone based or their age, meaning all man should have equal share Irrespective of their race, and it's applicable to all coming to canada.

You can as long as you're in India legally. Cos you'll show your temporary resident permit/visa.
