They wouldn't find any fault in Tinubu re-colonizing them unless the buyers are Asari Dokubo and Government Tompolo (with fair prices) will they realize the danger and thus start shouting National pride, thieves and corruption as if Tinubu and Dangote are saints.

We are watching their foot soldiers trying to makeup a defense for them already.

Thank goodness, there are many softwares to bypass censorships.

It's a pity that the acclaimed social and human right defenders are already surrendering their arms to those ready to devour the country by their antecedents.

I weep in 3D

The southwest has no single pre-colonial opposition figures like other peoples in the south.

Ask them for their Jaja of Opobo or Nana of Isekiri or any of their monarchs who was forced to exile like the then Oba of Binin.

They have none!

The Yorubas opened their doors to the British willingly because of the threat of the Jihadis in places like Kwara.

Colonialization owes it's victory in the southwest were the Yorubas gave the British a firm footing into Nigeria.

The Southwest has since continued to play servant to the west.

It doesn't take a discerning mind to know that the APC is not interested in your development.

Take a look at the APC controlled states in the SW and see how capitalist oriented they are with Fayemi bleeding the life outta of Poor Ekiti people in order to maintain his contractural agreement with Tinubu's companies.

I thought the issue here isn't these assets but for that fact that the person involve here is Tinubu, and why if I may ask?

Besides this is open for and to the public base on bidding? Right?
Like said earlier i'm in support of this as long as it's legal.

Read and digest, this is Nigeria where sentiments are drawn along political, tribal, regional and religious lines

Tompolo ‘contract': NIMASA Threatens To Sue APC

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency on Sunday gave the All Progressives Congress 72 hours to retract some alleged malicious statements made by the party against the agency.

The Director-General of NIMASA, Dr. Patrick Akpobolokemi, gave the ultimatum at a news conference on Sunday in Lagos.

Akpobolokemi said if the APC failed to tender an apology in 72 hours, the agency would adopt legitimate and lawful means to seek redress.

The director-general said APC alleged that NIMASA contracted the nation’s maritime security to a private firm, claimed to be owned by Mr Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.

The DG said, “I hereby unequivocally state that this accusation is false. NIMASA neither entered into any such security contract with any private company nor with Tompolo.

“Let me reiterate here that we have instructed our solicitors to give our accusers the opportunity of retracting their unfounded allegations, failing which we shall take all necessary steps to seek redress.

“The agency entered into partnership with a competent Nigerian maritime company; Global West Vessels Specialist Limited to provide its platforms to patrol the coastline.

“With the involvement of Global West, the Public Private Partnership arrangement now boasts of various categories of boats, contrary to what obtained in the past.

“The PPP project has also made it possible for the agency to provide suitable platforms to the relevant security agencies collaborating with us to fight piracy and other sundry security breaches in our waters.

“Memoranda of Understanding have been signed and are being implemented between the Nigerian Navy, the Nigerian Air Force and the NIMASA.

“Contrary to widespread speculation, Global West did not buy warships for NIMASA.”

He explained that the MoU with the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force had enhanced water patrol and aerial surveillance of Nigeria’s maritime domain.

The director-general also described as worrisome recent reports that the agency was sponsoring adverse documentary against the APC ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

He denied the allegations and appealed to politicians to leave the agency alone.

By Emma Ujah, Abuja Bureau Chief
ABUJA — The Federal Government, yesterday, explained that the Strategic Concessioning of the nation’s waterways to Global West Vessel Specialist Agency, GWVSA, by Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, has not in anyway displaced the Nigerian Navy from performing its statutory security roles on the nation’s territorial waters.

The Minister of Transport, Sen. Idris Umar, told journalists in Abuja, that contrary to speculations in many quarters, GWVSA would only provide platforms, security boats, equipment and expertise to help in securing the nation’s waterways and thereby raise revenue and that its staff will not bear arms.

Besides, he disclosed that the company, said to be owned by ex-militant leader, Chief Government Ekpemukpolo (aka Tompolo) would provide the entire $103 million investment and would only get paid after surpassing NIMASA’s annual revenue collection profile.

See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/03/why-we-awarded-waterways-contract-to-tompolo-fg/

or refer to: https://www.nairaland.com/896300/why-awarded-waterways-contract-tompolo

Those were some of the first things GEJ did on assumption of office, I knew he was never going to get this country anywhere from inception. This story about outsourcing maritime security to Tompolo is not hidden. I wish I could get the TV interviews that supports these claims. They are unfortunately true and very unpatriotic. The President by this act weakens constituted institutions, by promoting an individual. If our Navy fails in its duty in the near future, these are some of the contributing reasons. You rather spend funds on Tompolo, than do so on our National Naval institutions. Decay is gradual and GEJ has contributed enormously to the decay of institutions in Nigeria.

Outsourcing Maritime security to anybody, group of persons, et al, is illegal, unconstitutional and undermines the functions of the Nigeria Navy.

Okay for me, here are my demands:

1. For the sake of disgrace, can Diezani be made to appear before the Senate after which she should be sacked and jailed.

2. Revoke all contracts for the safeguarding our waterways and pipelines by Government Tompolo and OPC. I don't understand why we have a Navy and NCDC.

3. We need just one Private Jet in the Presidential fleet, please sell the others.

4. Instill discipline back into public service.

I'll put up others when I can. God bless Nigeria!

1. It's a proverb, more or less a revelation.
In deed, we live in a strange world and as christians.. we must brace up, fight to confrom

I think we are getting someone, somehow?
Now, the question remains...? what's really wrong with buying and or purchasing the assets?
What's wrong a an citizen of this country, would you have said the same if it were other nationality.
Power privatisation comes to mind.
In insist what's illegal is illegal and what's is legal is legal.
Tinubu could anybody here; Asari, tonpolu,S.A citizen et al.

The point here and question begging for answers are:

What has Tinubu done wrong?
Is he planning to acquire these through illegal means?
Has he or is he forcing the fed gov to bid these assets?

What has he done wrong exactly?
Mind you, like I wrote earlier, Tinubu could be anybody here:

You dad
Goodluck
Individuals.
Group of people.
Company
Foreigner?
This is because the bidding is legal and it's open for public isn't it? Now, tell me, what is Tinubu crime here by investing his money and buying this assets?

Thank u

Even though this report is false, I'll be glad if it can be true.
It's a welcome development if the FG under Buhari can sell off its abandoned assets in Lagos to Tinubu, afterall, GEJ sold Power Holdings to cronies and proxies at almost free of charge and still uses state funds to finance them.
Make a visit to these facilities and see the rot there-evident even in the photo of the Fed. Secretariat you posted. So far Tinubu will pay a fair price, it's ok and if you're not satisfied, jump into the Lagoon now.
