The question here is, where did PDP got the 2 trillion naira it is claiming to have disbursed for the campaigns?, oh yes, an amount that is enough to foot half the bill of our National budget. Little wonder the entire systemic collapse witnessed under the PDP government due to massive bleeding of state resources and corruption by top government officials and lest we remember, even the world bank had stated that more than 85% of corruption in government circles is done within the presidency. It is therefore pertinent that after the May,29th handing over we shall urgently have to kickstart a bring back our money campaign,(BBOM), already the queen of corruption and profligacy, Diezani, we learnt has refunded a substantial part of the $20 billion which her sticky fingers etched from NNPC with the secured protection of President Jonathan. 12 Likes |

By the time full disclosures are made, we shall know what 'toxic asset' Jonathan is. I won't count it against Buhari if he breaks his promise of giving him a soft-landing. Jonathan is simply undeserving of any credit not to talk of the opportunistic accolades he annexed following his justifiable defeat. 3 Likes |

@OP. Incredible. Indeed, money is not everything and you all can agree to it and this is just a simple example. I doubt if this story is real. But if it is, then Jonathan has proved once again he wanted to remain in the Office by all means while sucking our economy dry with his female puppets; example, Minister of Finance, Minister of Petroleum and so on. No wonder stealing is not a crime in his government and no wonder we should clap for them and call Mr. President a hero? Hero as a word in the dictionary has been destroyed by some crazy Nigerians. This is totally a shame! The campaign funds is our money and not Jonathans, so if he demands for a refund, just ask him if it's really his money. If he insists, then we all should probe him so as to teach others a lesson. 5 Likes |

APC and propaganda. GEJ has left a legacy that APC leaders would never achieve. Instead of witch hunting Jonathan they should be concentrating on the so-called change they sold to our gullible people,Nigerians will hold them accountable. |

If this news is indeed true, I will say Jonathan is the most clueless president ever. Why try to bribe with election campaign. The best campaign a president can ever do is performance while in office. Do U know what #2 trillion can do? Had it been that he used it to provide electricity for us, there would have been no need to campaign at all. Now una see una self. 4 Likes |

I cant believe that going through the entire comments on Nairaland only 2 reasonable persons could see this is a rooster and bull story. 2 trillion naira! Out of a budget of about 4.5 trillion naira 2ndly those talking about voters inducement, is it new to you? Thirdly anytime they write such nonsense its always from a "reliable" source abi na sauce, banga sauce ort pepper soup sauce. Lastly the report always ends with all calls put through to Mr. A or B didnt go through or didnt respond to text messages, one wonders why they couldnt wait to confirm the story before publishing. 1 Like |

Honestly, Jonathan deserves a corner in Kuje or Kirikiri. I am happy I did not vote for him in 2011. I had reservations about his ability to govern our country, and he did not prove me wrong. 4 Likes |

I'M NOT TOTALLY SURPRISED; THE REASON THIS IS EVEN MENTIONED IS THAT JONATHAN LOST. If he were to continue beyond May 29th, you and I would never hear anything like this. The figure may not be entirely correct but the amount of money these "leaders"at all levels spend on voter inducement is mind blowing. This is the normal trend handed down from one administration to the next. -Imagine why someone should struggle so much just to be re-elected to "serve". -Power has been taken from the masses because for a very long time our votes were mere toilet papers but thank God the card readers to a large extent is reversing this retrogressive trend. -All President Jonathan needed for a re-election was good governance and transparency and just being that same man who came telling us he had no shoes. When people say he was sold out, we should remember that Jonathan disappointed millions of Nigerians from all tribes who voted for him in 2011. -I pray that Buhari will live up to expectations and return power completely to the people so much so that come 2019, every single vote will count: then these so called "leaders" would sit up knowing that a day of reckoning is coming. cheers! 5 Likes |
