zendi:The first question we ask ourselves is what are they doing differently from what they were doing previously - that made their share value raise Then look at the economics of facts in that particular sector and then reduced access to funds- for loans "MPR" then you would understand why brokers call it the abracadabra stock* - if I should advice any of my clients to trade in it* it's because the subsector as a whole is doing well- they just unburden a holding UBA cap- and transformed to united capital- was it that they were the burden on the whole stock Well like I said it's just my opinion! You don't need to take it O! Look at the numbers and facts well, they don't lie* |

zendi:But looking at this proposition - which is called the bandwagon effect- why did eterna still trade far below relative stocks when at a certain point in time - the difference in their values were not to much- but today we see FO in the 3 digit band? Reason- this is just my own opinion, eterna oil has refused to do anything different from what they have been doing in years? The management board relatively remain the same- their corporate strategy same* so for this reason relating it to UBA which may not be I do not for see them ever in the short term going beyond a single digit till tony elemelu leaves the seen! My other opinion is that, mostly they don't want to pay out good dividends to investors so they balance a loss account here and their even while they are making money- and the CBN doesn't have a strong corporate inspectorate unit* to monitor the activities of market manipulators- the reasons in my opinion are endless!!! |

Chief Olajide(3 times), pls get on the phone and help me persuade your clients to come out tomorrow and sell their uba, to force down the price a bit. This is to enable my company achieve its short term goal of acquiring 5% stake in the pan nigerian, pan african and global bank. We aim to complete accumulation at under N5 unit price, and b4 the sectoral band wagon rally you talked about takes hold, perharps to be triggered by the elephant's Q1 result. My coy is gunning for uba as Ucheson's is after oando. 1 Like |

@Olajide, though ur posts are sumhow true, it is for value investor that goes to sleep after investing. For JiJo peeps, what matters most is how to align with Tony/Uba. The stock price can triple even after posting loss for the year. That is tonydynamics for u.its a science as well as an art; a 6creditt course. Same thing for all tony related stocks on nse- afriprud, ubcap, transcorp etc. If am to rate tony stocks, UBA will come last though. Afriprud, ubcap, etc. I don't know where to put transcorp for now. |

I agree with that Afriprud....If I had pumped all my money on Afriprud,I could have made a lot of return.....It moves steadily both back and forth....But UBA moves slowly.....But I can't blame myself,if not for the splitting of UBA,I may never know anything about Afriprud..... mercylicious: |

There's something funny about tony He has interest in almost five hotstocks on the Nse namely TRANSCORP,afriprud, uba, ubacap, united capital haba only one man running this business core how can he focus on transcorp and the rest altogether? Africanism! Africapitalism! |

Kagame: My brother, this explanation is incomplete. Upstream - Simply means exploration and production. Finding oil and gas, drilling, completions, getting the oil and gas to the surface of the ground. Support services to develop these assets for exploration, drilling and completions. Marketing of oil and gas products from drilling and completion activities. For example, Oil blocks, Gas fields, Oando Qua Ibo Field, Ebendo Field, Akepo Field Midstream - Involves gathering oil and gas from different production facilities or terminals, transporting them via pipeline, trucks and other means to final destination where there will be value additions. It also involves building of Gas Oil Separating Units to separate oil, gas and other contaminants for easy marketing. Building of compressor stations to transport gas, pumping station to transport liquid, pipeline to transport oil and gas. Marketing of transported products is also involve in midstream activities. For Example; Seplat pipeline to Warri Refinery, Seplat Oben Gas Plant, 200 MMScfd Oando Ogbainbiri gas plant and others Downstream - Involves value additions to crude oil and gas products. Marketing of separated products as a results of value additions. For example; building refineries to make gasoline, gas oil, LPG and others. Also building petrochemical complex such Olefin plants, Propane Dehydrogenation, Poly Olefins Plants and Others. Example of downstreams are Kaduna Refinery, Portharcourt Refinery, Eleme Petrochemical Complex and others. 2 Likes |

Unity bank has been listed at a price of N5.. I dont expect the likes of UBA, Diamond etc who are trading below N5 to sit arround and watch. I expect the banking stocks to react positively to this. 1 Like |

megainvest: TRW posts the data daily, but am still trying to know the indices that has been proven to work. I use the volume spike to know when there is increased sentiment towards a stock. I check RSI too, but am still at a loss with how to combine other indices and give a prediction. If u open trw-stockbrokers.com, go to the blog icon , u will see abt 5 docs for on ta. I like the volume analysis, support and resistance etc . when you see effort to rise (closing near the day high with high volumes) , the probability for the stock to run on the bull the next day is very high. |

bad move by Unity bank to do 1:10 they should have done 1:5. Now they have 11bln share outstanding at 5Naira. 2.50Naira with 22bln outstanding would have been better. I can not see myself buying Unity Above 3Naira. |

@Gistdutch @Elai147 @bigass @daemperor1 @Processor01 Practical example on our dividend dates lesson. Take a look at today's reference price for Total. It has dropped to 171 even though it closed on bid at 180. This is because it has been marked down today being ex-div date ie N180 - N9 = N171. Friday was the last qualification date. Though it has already traded at 179 as at the time of my typing because of the unfilled bid from Friday but I believe sell pressure will force it back down before close of business today except there is some good news coming in. 2 Likes

A quick question please: Considering the fact that Fidelity Bank's closure date is Apr 20th to 24th, will I still get the dividend if I sell today or tomorrow(Apr 21st)? Thanks |
