These marketers should be rounded up. They keep cheating the populace. The price of crude oil dipped by more than 50%. How come even with subsidy the price of petrol dropped by only 10.3%? Diesel and Kerosene remained as before. Oil marketers are making obscene profits. |

No worry, na from jail you go dey watch us dey buy petrol at 40 Naira per litre. Just relax. Anybody wey talk say this country no go move forward, na God go crop am out of our picture. If the incoming president decides to increase the subsidy on petrol, can't it go down to even 10 Naira per litre? I wonder why some people just like to think negatively. All they see is impossibility even when the conditions are perfect for success. 4 Likes |

“But by the time you get to the depot, after paying around N2.6m for your ticket, a lot of levies are to be paid, levies from PTD, IPMAN and all others, adding them all together with the cost of transporting your trucks to the station, no one is ready to run at a loss. All this nonsense has to stop, must levies be paid to all this thugs 1 Like |

We want people to invest in the downstream sector and build refineries but we don't want the sector to be deregulated. We instead want a government that promises to reduce fuel prices and fix prices. What a jaundiced economy we run, what a disillusioned people we are. We keep running after shadows. I keep my fingers crossed and want to wait beyond May 29 to see our all those vague electoral promises would be fulfilled. |
Re: Why Petrol Price Can’t Go To N40 Now — IPMAN by frisky2good(m): 8:45am On Apr 20, 2015 |
Let me tell you one simple truth about subsidy payments in Nigeria. More than 70% of the fuel FG subsidises doesn't get to Nigeria. If we block that loophole and use the same amount FG is paying right now for subsidy, the price of petrol will come down. Meanwhile, if you read my original comment again you will realise that I didn't advocate for increase in fuel subsidy. I only used it as an example to prove that it is actually possible to sell petrol at 40 Naira per litre. dearpreye: |

That Chairman is a very big fraud and has benefitted immensely from Jonathan's government presiding in that sector. His major reason is that there are a lot of "FRAUDULENT" fees to be paid to some "SACRED" receivers before one can lift oil.He never in any way suggested how these thieves receiving all these pay this pay that would be dealt with. Buhari has since said that he will block all the leakages in the oil sector to achieve this. This chairman did not even comment on that. And from his voice, one can sense that he does not even wish that the price falls even if it is possible right now. 1 Like |

Yea buhari and his campaign team said so. It actually came from that senseless fashola during one of apcheat campaign in Lagos. That why was the fg still selling fuel @87 wen global oil price has crashed. That if voted into power, the APChit led govt will sell fuel according to international standard prices and wot is obtainable in oda OPECountries |
