Not just the recognizable leaders in public eye but all the top leaders of the out going administration should be sanctioned by foreign govts both at federal and state levels if they are accused of corruption. And Nigeria should give some kind of real autonomy for the anti-graft agencies in the country. Every state should also have their senior auditors reporting to the Auditor in Chief of the federation. The post of auditor in chief of the federation should also be granted autonomy from the three arms of government so that they can be really effective.

Please, try and use your brain next time. Its not for decoration. Nigeria is a sovereign nation and we are not under the control and auspices of the US. Or is this what APC wants to turn us to? An apron string of the US? Or would GMB now be taking instructions from Obama and be reporting to him? I'm getting seriously confused with this US new found is it love or bossy relationship with Nigeria...

While this year marked a step to Nigeria having a bit Free and Fair election compared to previous years since the inception of democracy. This Looks more like Political witCh hunt by US govt... Why didnt they sanction GMB in 2011 when he threatened to make GEJ's administration ungovernable and also incited violenCe in the north that killed sCores of people including Youth Corps members? This is Hypocrisy and so unprofessional of them. undecided

Nigeria got rid of ebola just fine using their own devices and leadership.

Lets applaud Nigeria for not being needy or a welfare state for ebola and many other instances.

Sometimes the Nigerian newspapers just can't stop showing their very typical bias reporting. The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs didn't mention any names, but Premium times was quick to include the name of Patience Jonathan, Orubebe and Gov. Shettima, conveniently or otherwise forgetting the name of Oba of Lagos!!

What the Oba said, to them wasn't an incitement to violence

Akiolu said you will die in Lagoon. How is that inciting violence. Will Lagoon go after Igbos? Akiolu is cursing not inciting violence.

Saying our enemies will die is not the same as Kill our enemies

Do u know the meaning of inciting? (to cause (someone) to act in an angry, harmful, or violent way. : to cause (an angry, harmful, or violent action or feeling).
So don't tell me that dt statement by Akiolu is nt inciting. U free to support ur Party but say d truth wen need be.

So why wasn't the Oba's name included? Doesn't that suggest bias on the part of the journalists?

That's why the journalist should have suggested Oba Akiolu's name as one of those to be sanctioned by the US. He only suggested the PDP names. That's bias journalism. It's unprofessional.

I wonder the kind of deal GMB had with the White House... Jonathan refused to be played around by the White house and they stopped importing crude oil from Nigeria...
Even the white house was in full support of GMB campaign...

Hope Nigeria is going into modern slavery.

What Oba Akiolu said is a treat against fundamental human right to vote for his/her candidate. This is not threatening violence.
Akiolu said Igbos will die in the lagoon he didn't say I will kill the igbos in the lagoon.

Saying our enemies will die is not the same as Kill our enemies

I do not support Oba Akiolu
if he didn't incite violence with his words why then did the igboes react the way they did?I beg just shut up and learn not to be biased in judging .
