Delta is probably the friendliest cos they don't ask for fit to fly, but the POE is Atlanta if your friend doesn't mind. Popri: |

Their website says 36 weeks but l flew at 34 weeks 5days. You will need a fit to fly from you doctor stating your LMP and EDD. [/quote]. Thanks stinux 1 Like |

shelly23: O she feels JFK is he r best as she lives in MD...she will be coming in for a work visa interview but she's pregnant and will go back to US from Nija when she's about 35 weeks old so she will be entering the US with a work visa hopefully although her visiting visa is still valid she just doesn't want any stress from airline or Poe So u think ATL POE is better than JFK? Thanks much |

Gagat: I didn't go to Phoenix, but if you want to take a connecting flight, buy it at least 2 weeks in advance from expedia.com What you may buy for $150 in advance can be $500 at the airport! |

Great job every one. i have also been a silent follower of this forum..... God Bless you all... All ya believing God for the fruit of the womb and the means to have your child in US..... it is my prayer that God will visit you this year by God's grace. Please i have the following questions: 1. I got the B1/B2 visa last year, never used it but now wish to have my baby in US. Is it compulsory to write the embassy to notify them of my intention to have my baby in US? 2. I plan to use Dr. Fagboun..... any good accommodation around oakbend where the hospital is? i believe the area is called Richmond. 3. Which POE will u recommend ? 4. Which airline do you recommend? 5. What is the minimum recommended number if days/weeks a newborn baby requires before getting on a local or international flight? Thanks in advance. |

My people ! In the spirit of giving back, here's my birth story: I gave birth to my baby boy last week Tuesday at Oakbend and Dr Fagbohun took the delivery himself. I had a very fantastic and amazing labour nurse; Lesley ! God bless this pretty soul. The members of staff were very helpful. Baby was given all the supplies he needed and they brought a celebratory meal to my room to celebrate baby's arrival. I had more than enough juice to drink..lol. also, different pain medications were administered. Overall the hospital experience was great and Dr F is really experienced and good at his job. I'll def use him again. Birth certificate was ready for pick up by Monday, went to downtown for passport yesterday and picked up same day. Waiting to process naija visa, collect zero balances and get ready to make my way home ! 20 Likes 1 Share |

Gagat: Will advice you to book southwest airlines as soon as you have bought your lagos - new york ticket or as soon as you are sure of your travel dates, because they are one of the few if not the only airline i know that allows hand luggage and two 23kg bags free. Dont ever make the mistake of waiting till you get to New york before buying your ticket, because a ticket that might cost you $150 like 3wks before will cost you like $500-$700 on the day of the journey. Make sure you do your homework very well o, because at times after adding the cost of domestic ticket from new york to phoenix, hotel money if you need to spend d night in New York and cab fare from hotel or from Jfk to La guadia Airport, at times after adding all this, your total might just be close to or about what it will cost you to fly direct from Lagos to Phoenix,so think and calculate very well o if coins is an issue here. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello everyone been away for a while. Arrived maryland safely via british airways. I sat at the exit door for both the lagos to London and London to baltimore booked my seats online. My fit to fly was never asked for (thanks to my wide bump)had enough leg room, slept through out my flight except when I had to use the bathroom but thanks to my TED stockings had no worries. Stopped the plenty water drinking when I started peeling every 15 mins. Didn't use the wheelchair cos my hubby felt I would draw unnecessary attention to myself(1st time traveling to the USA).except for MMH british airways time of landing was good cos the airports were empty.(LHR and BWI) POE was BWI all blacks on my flight were about 9 Me:Good morning cbp: good morning(a black American about 35yrs ) Passport and landing card Me:handed it over to him CBP:purpose of visit? Me: have my baby Cbp: 4 right fingers on the green light Types and types cBP: i see your birthday is tomorrow,I should stamp you in. Me:laughs Cbp:smiles Cbp: you need to fill a form on the other end stating how much you're with Me: thank you, he typed the total At I think secondary inspection was told Everytime you enter or leave the USA you must declare over 10k including cheques Officer filled d form for me asked me to go through it if correct sign here. Told me to go over to Agric cos I had ogi and shea butter (which is all I took )and says he wud meet me there with a copy of my form. Passed through agric X-ray and then officer asked me to Open, I did. He found it strange I don't have indomie, kilichi, beans and the other over 15 things he listed so he searched my second bag"your a rare Nigerian" All in all must have spent about 30-35 mins cos the airport was so empty. Thanking God for favour and wishing same to everyone planning for the blue Pali. 16 Likes |
