Enugu city should be considered a go I have seen so many people who go there and come back with good tales about the serenity of the state. Anambra is also a good place of abode, the government there is not relenting in her efforts to see that the state is industrialized to the core. This they are already achieving through the provision of basic infrastructure and social amenities. Abuja is a great city just like you know already, just like nigga raw would say "Abuja na FCT, no be poor man territory" the scenery is great if you want to know. Talk of affordable housing well price is high especially in the happening areas trust me you don't want to be left out. Here a piece of egg roll which sells for 50 naira normally sell for 100 naira, you wan talk of other consumables? lol Generally the city is good and I bet you will love it. Asaba, considering its proximity to onitsha, many traders after the days sales retire to Asaba so as to break off the feeling of being nearby. Onitsha is also good considering its the commercial hub of the East and witness daily influx of people and with the decline in the spate of robbery and kidnapping in the state Onitsha will surely make a nice home. 6 Likes |

April07: If this is your concern then say so - I was not aware about civil servants' salaries. It doesn't surprise me, sadly politicians still do not understand that public funds are not their campaign funds. I agree that the cost of living has increased but that is guaranteed to happen wherever you are. Do you have stats to show that crime is on the rise in Calabar? The tourists sites are always quiet out of season - that happens everywhere. Come December/January they are packed, then they are quiet until Easter - that is how it has been and will always been. Why are you acting like this is new? Refuse collection is not the problem in Calabar that you are making it out to be. If you lived on the Lagos mainland you would see what it means to live in filth, at the moment things in Calabar are still good. 1 Like |

To me, the best city to live in is Jos. Jos weather is envied, cost of living low. To me Jos is Nigeria at it finest. Next after Jos is Calabar. Cal as is fondly called is the cleanest city in Nigeria, with a rich culture, Cal is really a place to be. The next on my rating is my darling Enugu. Relatively peaceful and low cost leaving. Really a nice place to start life. Akwa Ibom Ayaya. You can't take it away from Akwa Ibom. The fastest growing State. Uyo the Akwa Ibom state capital is really a place to be. Nice infrastructure, variety of mouth watering delicacies. But do forget Kano and Portharcourt, Lagos and Abuja for your source of livelihood. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Calabar, very peaceful serene place to live! Activity filled, no dull moments. From the culture to the food, to the people to the places! Ancient city, clean and not disappointing at all. A part of it brings one closer and makes one remember their root. From the marina to the cinemas, great place to chill and feel like one is abroad, when indeed in Nigeria! Tho a civil service state, but if you've got money and wonder where to spend it? Think calabar! I love love that place. Benue state. Makurdi is an okay town to live, cost of living is very cheap, calm city, places to hang out, though quite far from everywhere. Their airport isn't working. So one might have to do a lot of hours getting there by road. The pple are welcoming. The major tribes are Tiv, Idoma and Igede. Wanna save some money, live peaceful, think about your life and shut urself outta things or pple u don't need? Think makurdi! Abeokuta! Ancient city with a lot of rocks, bout 45 mins drive to lagos. Very peaceful town! Quite affordable, one can live there and save a fortune. Few places to hangout tho. The presence of Mapoly and Unaab tetiary institutions is good for the small town. You wanna relax think abeokuta. Lagos! The land of my birth! The city that never sleeps. The land of opportunities! But with a lot of stress! The traffic can be killing but, if you come to lagos with your dream, work hard, and you'll achieve it. The cost of living is surprisingly affordable, one can get almost anything cheap in lagos! From cloths to food. Just need to know the right places to shop! I could go and on about lagos. You wanna take your career or business to the next level in Nigeria? Think Lagos. 3 Likes |
