Yes, Jesus said in John 15 that we are to bear fruit been the brances but let us look at the statement very well..John 15:5.."I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." notice that the only condition to bear fruit is to remain in Jesus Christ and He in Us....i.e., the fruit is the product from the life Vine of Jesus.
Now., when we said the Holy Spirit dwells in a genuine Christians, it is the same as saying Christ lives in them....so, the fruits of the Holy Spirit as explained in gal. 5:22-23 is in accordance with what Jesus said in John 15.
Without the life force of the Holy Spirit there cant be any fruit bearing as on our own, we can do nothing!

I would be going for my water baptism soon and as much as I would love to speak in tongues, I still can't. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever be able to.

Must the water baptism come before the holy ghost baptism?

Rom 8 says ..."we do not know how to pray but Holy Spirit intercede for us in groaning which cannot be altered...."
