EfemenaXY: Once you taste the brown beans, you wont go near the white one I assure you. It is delish with little or no added ingredients. Even with very little veg oil like soyabeans oil it is yummy. |
Re: Paste Pics Of Your Healthy Meal Here. by EfemenaXY: 10:14pm On Apr 29, 2015 |
smartmom: Really? Then I must try it. How do you cook it though? And can you serve it with Plantain / Yams / Sweet Potatoes / Bread / Soaked Garri? Like we do with the white ones? |

EfemenaXY: Been looking at you all from a distance ooo I just can't keep up anymore Babyosisi is my classmate for now I ate the white beans once as a kid but I also cant remember the difference in taste if any...maybe the difference is in the cooking time and the look except Edwife will tell us the nutritional difference between the two I recently bought the white beans but there has been no motivation to cook it, the brown beans taste perfect to me I want my brown beans |

EfemenaXY: Sure you cook it just like you cook the white one but it takes less time to achieve that softness of our brand. Yes you can eat it with rice, garri, bread, yam et al When you cook it plain it is great with rice and stew(oooh especially spicy goat meat stew.. drooling now! ) |

[quote author=EfemenaXY post=33254483] Lol! Okay. Will try and get some this weekend. Efe, pls help me ooo I just did my 6-week check up and was given the green light. My tummy is 70% back to normal except that chunk of fat below the navel, I hate the sight of it. I have been trying sit-ups and long walks and it helped slightly but I need a workout that will specifically target that area. Pls help a sister |
Re: Paste Pics Of Your Healthy Meal Here. by EfemenaXY: 10:48pm On Apr 29, 2015 |
Kimoni: Six weeks is still early days. Did you have your LO (little one) by CS or normal delivery? And are you bbreastfeeding? |
Re: Paste Pics Of Your Healthy Meal Here. by Kimoni: 10:55pm On Apr 29, 2015 |
EfemenaXY: early?? I resumed classes after 2 weeks...fine, everyone thought I was crazy but I was feeling very ok Normal delivery, just random breastfeeding... |
Re: Paste Pics Of Your Healthy Meal Here. by EfemenaXY: 11:01pm On Apr 29, 2015 |
Kimoni: Okay the reason I asked the type of delivery was because if it was CS, then you'd have to give the scare a lot more time to heal. Anyway, not applicable. If you can, continue bbreastfeeding as much as you can as bbreastfeeding helps the womb to contract a lot faster. As per targeting the lower belly, two options: Traditional method: Ask an elderly family relative to "press" the belly with hot water, and to tie it tightly, even to bed. If this is done consistently for a couple of weeks, the belly would "snap" back into shape in no time. Modern method: Targeted lower abs workout. However, I'm not sure which one as it's not been too long since you had your baby. I think Edwife and Chillisauce (the six-pack team), might be able to answer this better than I can. |

EfemenaXY: Lol@ six-pack team. Thank Efe, the breastfeeding and sit-ups helped flatten the upper belly but this lower belly fat just won't go away. Let me wait for the six-pack team. Chillisauce and Edwife, pls help oooo but pls don't mention broccoli eba, I take God beg una 1 Like |

EfemenaXY: Plain oats ugh! I just quickly avert my eyes and look instead at the egg/cucumber/cherry tomatoes and the crunchy lettuce(?) |

Kimoni: You're really determined about this, aren't you? I don't know if your body is ready for this just yet, but since you ask... Okay, this is workout I use. I'm okay with the first four but the last one is what gets me. I really struggle with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7u_sdYNS_k |
Re: Paste Pics Of Your Healthy Meal Here. by EfemenaXY: 12:12am On Apr 30, 2015 |
smartmom: Smartmom! Lol! Yeah, it doesn't look very appetizing. It doesn't even taste that appetizing, but it does work wonders especially if you're looking to shed the lbs. It's an acquired taste and you'll quickly get used to it. The natural sugars in the banana more than replace the commercially sold processed sugars. I suppose as an alternative, the banana could either be mashed into the porridge, or chopped into smaller bits. |

EfemenaXY:It's kind of like the opposite for me. Can't find brown beans here and I prefer them to white ones. They taste a lot better IMO. |

Kimoni:Stop eating anything that contains fat completely. Your belly is very sensitive to cholesterol compared to other parts of your body - looking at your statement. |

all4naija: More like it. It's a battle I have to win though Adding oil to my food is like applying make up on my face, oil beautifies your food and makes it look inviting. It feels dry and awkward without it. Efe, trust me, I didn't write the above. |
Re: Paste Pics Of Your Healthy Meal Here. by cococandy(f): 3:12am On Apr 30, 2015 |
Chillisauce I've done it o. It's ok anyway just a little bit stickier than my usual fufu. But looking at it, you can't tell it is mostly made of blended cauliflower . Served with okro soup. Thank you 1 Like
