If what you guys want is resource control I am very much in support of that because the minerals in other parts of the country will be harnessed and politicians without plans won't want to be in power but If all this talk is about getting your own country, I can assure you that that's one dream that can never come to fruition

Majority vote from the concerned regions that wish to no longer be part of Nigeria.

If say SS/SE want to be on their own, they can conduct the vote on SS/SE. Lets say the result is 80% SS/SE vote says they want to be off Nigeria and be on their own, then we know that's what they really want, we let be.

The solution to our problems in Nigeria irrespective of whatever part of the country we come from is GOOD GOVERNANCE. That is what the average Nigerian wants, it is few unscrupulous politicians and elites who are very comfortable like Ankio Briggs that keeps fanning the embers of tribal hatred and division of Nigeria.

Let's get down to the slums of Niger Delta and ask them what they really want, they will tell you they want good roads, good drnking water and all basic amenities that makes life easier, they will never say that they want another country. It is our fraudulent politicians and elites that goes to town to tell the average Nigerian how a particular person or tribe hates them.

If you go the market to buy pepper, will the pepper seller ask you where you come from before he or she will sell or will you begin to ask which pepper seller is from Niger Delta before you patronise him or her.

Let's get wiser as Nigerians and stop falling for the sweet coated mouths like Ankio Briggs and others who are already made [does Ankio Briggs in that video look like someone who is suffering or have no money?] They don't really love their people like we think or who would imagine that likes of Yinka Odumakin and his wife will fall under the anointing of Jonathan's dollars after displaying their so called passion for Nigerians.

My Friends and brothers from the Niger Delta, all you need is GOOD GOVERNANCE and you will be fine, if only your Governors and Local Chairmen can be more accountable with all the money they get from Abuja, you will be fine, don't fall for their lies when they tell you that other Nigerians hate you and pocket all the money meant to develop your region.

Stop lying. Oil was not discovered using cocoa money and neither did any other state benefit from SW cocoa and North groundnut. In that era, all regions were under resources control and every region developed using what they make. We all know our history, nigeria might have scraped nigerian history from the school list does not mean our parents didnt teach it to us. So abeg

And here is an exempt from NNPC about the discovery of Nigeria oil. Nowhere was SW cocoa mention. Infact it agrees with what was told to us. It was oyinbo ' s that discovered those oils.

Stop telling us lies on this forum. Enough is enough.
am not disputing the fact that shell-bp were responsible for discovering the oil, but the fact you hypocrites don't want everybody to know is the involvement of the nigerian government and the role it plays in supporting shell-bp with the cocoa and groundnut money in discovering the oil. What was our two major exports before oil was discovered? Was it not cocoa and groundnut? Your palmoil/rubber didn't even come third because cotton was generating more money than rubber/palmoil. A foreign company can't just come into a country to dig whatever mineral they want without the knowledge and support of the said country. Cocoa money was used to discover the oil you people are crying about. Go and ask any person and you will still get the same answer.

Btw stop listening to the lies your uncles tell you in your village squares

Are these not the same SS people we saw last week complaining about using the same water source for toilet and cooking purposes despite the failure being in power for years? What exactly do they want?

And the leaders before him were not corrupt right?

Nigeria was the highest exporter of rubber and palm oil in the world in the 1950's, where did your useless cocoa rank?
Stop this attache by force, no one benefitted from your cocoa money except you.
Beginning 1950s and till mid-1960s, Nigeria remained the largest producer of crude oil palm world over. It had a market share of 43.0%, supplying 645,000 MT of palm oil, on annual basis, across the globe. The civil war which began in 1967 and lasted till 1970 changed all of that.

Sure, but before that's done, the UN and the Nigerian Parliament needs to be made aware and accept the outcome of the referendum. Most importantly, the region must show probable about why they want to secede. Such agreement has be based on issues of genocide, human rights abuses of ethnic nationalities and need for independent survival of a people. At the moment, none of those are happening, so we have to continue with one Nigeria for now until we feel endangered or marginalized.

And what did Saudi use to develop their oil industry? Was it sand and sun?

You taqiyya lying marafarker!

The ND was the richest region in both pre colonial and colonial times.

An attestation to this is the home grown billionaires like Nana and Jaja who at one time where richer than the northern protectorate!

Even as at today, the ND region still produces home grown billionaires!

Can you compare an average ND man to an Ab0ki?

Stop your lies! We were never poor or dependent on any region,

Oil exploration and development paid for itself.

It wasn't no cocoa or groundnut money!

Besides my state Delta is far richer in cash crops than any state in Nigeria till this day!

As for the odua slaves, read up on Agbekoya Riots and see for yourself the exploitative plantation model that your cocoa economy was based on!

But Akwa Ibom state produces the largest oil/gas that funds the rest of the country. Without any bias, I think you should take a trip to Akwa Ibom State, I have been there a number of times. Uyo is better planned than Lagos and the roads are much more better than Lagos roads. Your case is like that of American kids, you are indoctrinated to thinking that Africa is populated by animals and that there are no houses here. I wanted to buy a house in Afro Tropicana at Uyo, it was not as beautiful as most houses in Lekki, in fact its old model. The price was 150 million naira. The local economy is vibrant, and people are happier there than most people i ever met in Lagos. So, in essence, I advise that you take a trip outside the Yoruba enclave and visit these places. I can assure you with all sincerity, you will certainly feel sorry for your ignorance.

Yet NNPC, the main government agency regarding Nigeria's oil, did not mention this your fairytale of cocoa assisting in the discovery of the oil. How come it's only Yoruba, not the FG, informing us that cocoa money is how oil was discovered. Mtchewwww tell us another super story.

And yes I'll ignore stories from SS regarding about SS to listen to stories from SW regarding about SS just because SW wants to make itself the Messiah. See your life

corruption can never be justified in whatever manner, election is a game and there must be a winner and a looser and you know what there will always be another opportunity to contest as along as one is alive, if we could vote in Buhari at 73, Jonathan can also have that opportunity again even at age 80.

Let's stop making it look as if Jonathan is finished, you guys are not helping him at all with the way you are handling his defeat, Buhari has lost election 3 times before and has always moved on with his life so why not Jonathan

Well, a bias constitution only needs ammendment, and that is the reason that each state have representatives in the Legislative houses, we should make sure they do their jobs. I think we channel all of our energies into criticizing the President while ignoring the State government and our Parliamentarians. This should change.

Regarding the civil war, I think it was ill-conceived. That war, was not necessary at that time. The SS/SE was not under threat, the SE/SS people were actively involved in governance as soldiers, so it was a vendetta of some sort, and we paid gravely for it. Today, we are happy that it happened because we are now a feared people, we have risen from the ashes of defeat and have conquered local economies of Nigeria in all of the regions. The fighting spirit of the SS/SE people knows no limitation as individuals but as a group, we are totally dysfunctional. This is where the SW and North derive their strength.

Who is going to fight the war really? The militants are so wealthy that they are now chilling in private jets, building universities and they have enriched themselves at the detriment of the Niger Delta people. If they have had a president for six years that could not better the lives of average south-south people then its time for them to give other people a chance.Late Yaradua was the one that introduced ministry of Niger delta,he granted amnesty for the militants and i think these programs have helped the generality of the people of south-south unlike their son Gej that awarded crazy contracts to few individuals just for their private pockets.
