omooba2015: The duration of your program should be preferably 2 years to ease your PR chances. With a year and half, it is still possible but you need to get employed in your field of study and your employer willing to sponsor you too; and chances of that is very low. However, if you have good job experience and it is listed among the skill select program, you can go for the PR straight instead of doing it through studies, as the latter is quite expensive. |

omooba2015: Your visa has nothing to do with accomodation,or knowing any1 in australia, getting an accomodation is the last step, try to focus on how to get a visa first, many ppl have gone to aus without having friends or family there, but one thing is for sure, going with your family is going to be more expensive, try learn about all the visa types and which 1 best fits your situation, also try to read previous pages of this thread to avoid asking questions already answered in d past. 1 Like |

^^^ If PR is the ultimate goal, you can do two things; 1. Study, but let the duration be up to two years. 2. You can tow the PR pathway, like others have towed. Details are on this board for you to peruse. |

@mrsdee, are you saying, I should forget my postgraduate course I m going for. Can kindly put me through the PR shortest way of applying |
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by mrsdee: 10:37pm On Apr 29, 2015 |
omooba2015: I can't tell you every5hing, research more on the pr pathway. You can first use anzscosearch.com to get the details of your accessing body. Go to their website and get the details to apply for assessment. I think there are 2 different accessing bodies for accountants. Not sure though. If u get postively accessed, u are halfway done with the whole process. Mind you, it takes detwrmination to get there. You can also download booklet 6 to know how d points are broken down. 1 Like |

omooba2015: Since you have job experience, it had better you go through PR path. Follow the steps from this link: http://britishexpats.com/wiki/A_Rough_Guide_to_Australian_General_Skilled_Migration Note: Item no 3 on the link is not necessary. 1 Like 1 Share |

@omooba2015, My colleagues have addressed your questions. Just take time and research, as you will get all details on the web, and on susbtantial some this very board too. PR pathway is better than the PG pathway because it is very cheap, and you can also use your PR to study. 1 Like |

Good-day my extended family, how una dey? Really wanna use this medium to appreciate you all for the friendly support we offer each other in this forum. I appreciate everyone and can't mention all. I've been bent on Canada for a while till I applied for MSc admission only to be referred to PGD cos I made a lower second class. A friend in Griffith encouraged me to come to Oz that opportunities are even more there than in Canny. After stalking n under-studying this forum for a while, I took the bold step and went to BCIE for further enquiries. My extended family, I want to tell you guys that I've finally applied for MSc to Curtin university today through BCIE and will keep you guys posted. Once again I thank you all n handed everything in God's hand. 2 Likes |

ome240: They wont send an acknowledgement email, if thats what you mean. You will only be contacted when/if they need you. So you dont have to worry, you are on the right tract. And you will most probably get ur visa too if you met all the criterias/requirements. Just relax, God dey control seat. |

Wish you best of luck. And i can assure you, Oz has more chances of taking you than rejecting you. Welcome aboard the Oz ship. Mikey: |

Thanks alot missakomaye. You're words were so encouraging. Surprisingly, I got a mail from them this morning requesting for my scholarship letter and medical examination for my baby. I didn't do medicals for him because no HAP ID was generated initially. Thanks and thanks. |
