once an applicant has a completed profile in the pool for express entry candidates, does the profile remain in the pool forever or what is the duration?

House pls help.

Late last year I got my WES ECA but had some issues. I have B.Sc(Chem Engr) from a Naija university and M.Sc (Chem Engr) from a UK uni. WES only did the evaluation for the UK University and i mailed them about the issue since i applied for evaluation of both my degrees. WES replied me a few days ago saying they determined that the result of the UK University which they evaluated was sufficient for the FSWP which I planned to apply for.WES said if i insist they will work on the ECA of my Naija Certificate but they will have to wait until they get written verification response from my naija uni. Also, WES said the original evaluation report which was sent to me will be on hold and CIC will not be able to access this report electronically until they complete the evaluation for my B.Sc and the revised report sent to me and made electronically accessible to CIC. I am to let them know in writing what they should do.

House pls help what should i do:
1) Go ahead and use the evaluation report for only my UK uni which WES say is sufficient
2) Ask them to add the evaluation of my B.Sc which may take a long time and CIC will not be able to access my report until they get feed back from my naija Uni.

I did my IELTS exam on 30th April and i need to know what response to give WES in my mail.

Thanks

Its Canadian Dollar, not US Dollar. You will see it when you want to pay
and if you will pay using your atm card, you will discover the amount
they will remove will not be up to the equivalent of the US Dollar

@tribeD, you are not going to earn more mark for both..WES has given u best option. Unless your UK master is not evaluated as master equivalent in canada .

Then what will your naija Bsc degree amount to?
Guy,dnt stress yoursef

@ resourse: Thanks for you advice. UK university I attended is rated top 5 so its evaluated as masters equivalent in Canada. I think I will follow your advise. Thanks

I ain't the one who quoted that amount. However, it's either you see 233dollars, which means you opted for them to send your report via regular mail or, 322dollars for them to send the evaluation to you by courier

Good day House,
I have a friend in Manitoba who is willing to sponsor me.But he is just a close friend. Is there any way I can claim that he is my blood relation or family relation for me to get the maximum point of 200 allocated for that instead of only 50 for friends.with just 50 points for friend, i don,t think we can compete in the poll.

Is it compulsory to have the report couriered?I mean will there be a need for one to submit the hard copy at any point of EE processing?cant I just use the electronic copy since EE will have access to WES anyway.I will appreciate prompt response please

WES has requested for my 'Verification from Uniben'. Due to the fact that i'm far from Uniben. My source in school said I have to pay another fees for 'Verification' and courier again. Pls how true is this and how much am I to pay?
Meritl:

Sometimes, most times, WES normally does the background check. I will advice that you try to contact your school or a student in the school to confirm if it has arrived or not.
For example in my case, when my transcript was sent back to UNIBEN for verification, my source kept telling me that it has not arrived! It has not arrive!.
I kept on bugging WES with mails and they kept on replying that they've sent it via regular mail and email. I again contacted my source and he said " it has still not arrived".
After4 weeks of the endless bugging of WES, I just went to the VC's office where they receive external correspondence. Behold, I saw my verification waiting for me for the past 3 weeks as they sent it via email ( not regular mail).

Please just do all you can.

Yes.
You've got to pay for verification; #1,000 (95% sure of price)
For reposting, well , you can send it to them via e-mail.
Not sure if you pay, as I've forgotten the process in my case.

Hello, I just initiated my transcript process again cos my younger sister who's still a student in Uniben. Thing is, I'm reading on this thread now that I would have to make sure they include an official email on the covering letter and that I would have to add my ECA number with the application which I didn't do cos I'm yet to pay for WES reason being that I want to be completely sure Uniben won't mess me up cos that school is very frustrating when you're not physically there to run things yourself. By the way, i don't know if they will give me the transcript my hand but if they don't, how do I make sure it's correctly couriered? Thank you

You will definitely submit hard copy but, its not compulsory to pay for courier for them to send it to you. You will get a softcopy, which you can pick the details you need from and use it for your EE application, and since you will only need the hard copy after CIC has chosen you to apply for Permanent Residency(or what is called ITA), there should be sufficient time for the hard copy to get to you by regular mail, which someone said his/her own took just 2weeks. The courier thing is needed when you are initially sending your transcript or when you have to send the response to the verification they usually request for(that is in a case where your school doesn't reply via email as there are some schools that reply via email, which can eliminate the need for replying to verification through postage). Courier may be necessary for those because of time

My suggestion is option (1). I had a similar experience but my UK certificate is BSc in a different field from my Naija ND cert. I had them include the ND because I used it under the related NOC category in my application to CIC in Nov 2014. Yours appears to be in the same field. The MSc. will still give you the points you're entitled to. I also must warn you that asking them to reevaluate the Naija BSc cert will create delays as they say. I'm talking from experience. I nearly missed the deadline for submission late last year. There were several mails back and forth which created delays and tensions. Also, I've come to learn that Oyibo no dey think like Naija people because their systems usually function as designed. Also factor your Naija institution. Are they very responsive, etc? All of these do count.

Also listen to what others have to say about this and make your informed choice.

Regards.

This EE online profile is a total bullshit. The website was carelessly built without any consideration for proper validation checks, especially when users want to make changes to their profiles. I just renewed my passport and I wanted to put my new passport details in my application. How I ended up withdrawing my EE submission remains a mystery to me. A simple google search reveals that it has happened to many other people. I am sharing this for the benefit of everybody swimming in the pool. Always double-check before you push any button. Press the wrong button, then you are out!! I will recreate my EE profile anytime they start giving ITA to 390 and below, which I strongly doubt. Happy swimming to all still swimming.

Well, transcripts are no longer given by hand.
But I'm very sure that with the speed post that is present in the school, it will get to WES.
By the way, which faculty?
In addition, I'll suggest you get a WES number before sending the request to UNIBEN. UNIBEN then incorporates the reference number on the cover letter accompanying the CV they send to WES.

When WES receives it, they send UNIBEN a mail for verification; though they can send a hard copy. On receipt by UNIBEN, they can send an email for verification or a hard copy to WES.
Afterwards, your ECA is issued.

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 for principal applicant) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live
