Sensor is facing radiator. Check harness for disconnection or melt by exhaust, open sockets and check for mosture or corosion (engine wash people) if all is ok replace 02 sensor. 12k toks 30k new oem denso.

I have been have my gear drags from 2-3 and sometimes reverse does not engaged. I went for scanning and this codes shows P0300 and P0305. Knock sensor, malfunction bank 1 & 2.

Pls I need help before Kazeem cause more trouble for my car.

Please note I just brought it as tokunboh and have not changed the ATF .

P0330 refer to knock Sensor 2 circuit bank 2
P0325 refer to knock sensor 1 circuit bank 1

Since both codes appear, please check the wiring harness from the ECU to the knock sensors terminals for consistency.

I can't locate it can my mechanic u understand the above if I explain to him more so it electrical or mechanical problem.

Its a electrical issue. However, if you've checked all the harness and none is bad, check the knock sensors. If its still good, check your ECU.

2 sensors are bad, they are called knock sensors or if you like detonation sensors, when faulty they cause transmission failure in toyotas. Its more of a mechanical job than an electrical one, it involves striping the engine (intake out, water hoses out,) until you can see the knock sensors located in the belly of the engine. Testing a knock sensor before fitting one is important so you don't open up the eNgine twice or more. New sensors are expensive but reliable, but toks also last a long while (never installed one that failed)

Yes I have several equipment to test knock sensors. I also keep a stash of knock sensors cause its very frequent work. Check harness for corrosion or shorting.

My main point is I took my car rx300 to gazzuzz yesterday, as I said in my formal post that the gear did not select from 3 to 4and the guy restore all what is faulty in it for me. Infact the guy is execellent he is a good specialist of auto mobile I will now advise u people on nairaland to try and visit the guy and he is also honest because I tested him yesterday and he score A1
