My ancestors Pls I just saw something thats making me scared now, This is my lil story I got a job immediately I finished school(A full time procurement job), I started precisely in July of last year, along the line I discovered I had a lil issue with my first semester result so I took permission from work to re-do that course(first semester spillover) in sept/oct but now i'm good, result looks great, i'll be evaluating with WES before this month runs out Will the letter of appointment from my job not contradict my result? like probably studying in the course of working and EXPRESS ENTRY requires atleast one year of work experience without school. I hope y'all understand me, statement of result shows sept/oct and work shows July......PLS ADVICE Thanks in anticipation |

This fsw is turning out to be a long long wait. Applied August 20, 2014, received PER since Dec 9th, 2014. Up until now, no word from AVO. Anyone aware of the status with fsw applications now please? 2 Likes |

princecharles28: Have you gotten a mail requesting for an interview or medicals? I know quite a number of people did interviews 2 weeks ago. I received my PER on Jan 22 and I have already done my medicals. However my case is quite different because the US office is handling my case file. In this case, Ithink no news is good news and you would need to exercise patience On the other hand you could inquire by calling or mailing the CIC |

sevule: Thanks Sevule. I'm yet to receive any mail for medicals or interview. The guys who did interview, are they being processed by the US office too? Mine is Ghana. |

Kirri: You just displayed Naija mentality (just joking) The requirement did not say your work experience must compulsorily be after school. Even part-time job that can be put together as a 30hours a week job is acceptable so, you are so very ok in that regards |

Kirri: I haven't come across anything on CIC website that says you can't apply to school even when you have an active ee profile, i think you can go ahead and apply. Besides, it is school you are applying to in the meantime, not embassy for student visa so.. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 7:49pm On May 05, 2015 |
toluhere: It is a must to have AT LEAST ONE YEAR WORK EXPERIENCE. if you don't have that, you can't apply |

JesusDWay:are u saying class of degree don't matter? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 8:10pm On May 05, 2015 |
toluhere: The much i know, class of degree may not matter, its basically to evaluate your degree and see its equivalency in canada. There is 2:2 class of degree in canada i believe so, your class of degree shouldn't matter |

Hi all, It's like our super admins are on holiday. Thanks to JesusDway, Meritl and others for stepping in their shoes. Please, I have a friend who just got his PPR yesterday and he has 15days to send the passports to AVO. He is currently in the US studying and the email he got categorically stated that DHL is preferred in sending the passports. He has gone to virtually all the DHL agents and even to the DHL hub in Maryland, US but they told him they don't do return envelope for individuals. 1day is gone in the 15days given to him. Is there anyone who knows how he can manage this situation of sending his passport to Accra. Thanks |

princecharles28:princecharles, AVO is presently working on July applications from feedback gotten, the first week infact, so, just relax, lol. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by akanni(m): 10:56pm On May 05, 2015 |
azeezbaba:maybe he should just send the passport to a family member in naija who will either take it to Ghana or do a return envelope on his behalf. He will probably give him a letter of consent or authorization to collect on his behalf.he then mails it back to him when done. 1 Like |

azeezbaba:i will suggest he should route it via a friend or relative who works in a corporate organization in order to collect the passport c/o that friend/relative in that organization. |

Hi All I would be very grateful if anyon could please help me with my query. I received ITA April 17 and I already have all my docs except the letter from my bank listing all my accounts and their start dates. Apparently it's difficult for banks to give out personalised letters. I bank with two banks and one of them could only give me a print out of the screenshot of my accounts showing their start dates and stamped, while the other bank could only provide me with a letter stating that I bank with them. However I've obtained 6 months bank statements of each of my accounts. Please does anyone know if these will suffice? Thanks a lot! |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by pickabeau1: 12:26am On May 06, 2015 |
Well done all Azeezbaba... You can use other couriers..try ups |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Canadianwoman: 2:58am On May 06, 2015 |
azeezbaba: Even DHL in Nigeria does not do return envelope, they will help you send the passports initially and then when you receive the mail for pickup from Accra you go back to DHL to initiate another transaction to arrange for pickup, two separate transactions entirely and not in one package as people assume. Your friend should confirm from the DHL offices in US where he is, whether if when he brings the mail from Accra informing him to come and pickup his passport they will be able to arrange for the pickup, which I feel they should be able to such. If they can do that they he should go with them, if not then follow other suggestions of sending the passport to Naija. Regards to you all from Calgary "spring is in the air" |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by azeezbaba(m): 4:29am On May 06, 2015 |
pickabeau1: The tone of the message from Accra would not even allow you try other couriers as it is categorically stated in bold in the mail that DHL is preferred. Thanks all the same Canadianwoman: We'll try this option tomorrow and I will feed all you guys back so that others can learn too. If DHL does not do pickup, then we will try the naija option |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by azeezbaba(m): 4:32am On May 06, 2015 |
henryosas: Please expatiate on this because the DHL guy we spoke to mentioned something like corporate organization but he wasn't sure of what he was saying so we didn't take him serious on that. Do you mean a relative/friend who works in a corporate organization here in the US or in Naija? I will also be in this guy's shoes in about 1month from now as I am awaiting my PPR too as am currently in the US too. Thanks |

Hi guys, I'd please like to know if anyone has done WES ND of HND ECA assessment from Yabatech. How long did it take? My initial assessement from OAU was quite fast owing to their reputation and relationship with WES. I'm stuck at the verification stage and its taking forever for Yabatech to respond, any insights? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 2:42pm On May 06, 2015 |
scrollmeout: The officer(s) who will respond to the verification went on strike(Senior Staff), they just resumed on Monday. My advice is for you to go to the transcript office there and explain your situation. Get someone who will help expedite the response, establish a rapport with him/her so you can get the response to the verification by hand and send it yourself by courier.. |

Hi Guys, I have been following this forum for a while now and I must say it has been really helpful. I am currently swimming in the pool and hoping the score drops some more. I need a bit of advise thou, is a printed online bank statement acceptable by CIC? Reason I ask is that I plan to use my account in the UK as part of my proof of funds but I am currently based elsewhere. Would an online statement fly? |
