She's human n made a mistake which is not the sum of her personality.Let the guy work on a relationship reset for a new beginning for them all.The burden is on the guy who saw good qualities in her over their time together to want to wife her,to ensure a bridge building between two of the most important women in his life.He sure needs both of them in order to have his life in balance.Good luck! |

The mother in law is too quick to find fault abeg. Fine the lady failed the test. Which i don't even accept. Which one b either chose me or her again? Besides there are other ways to actually test someone. |

My 2 cents Unless the mother has other reasons, I don't think that's a good enough reason to tell her son not to marry the girl it's petty as far as I am concerned if she was offended she should have cautioned the girl the way she would caution her own daughter and say my dear things are not done that way. As for me I find it difficult to eat outside my home. The first time I met my inlaws I ate there only because my mother inlaw called me to ask me what I wanted to eat but after that time the only time I eat there is when I cook or a caterer cooks because I do not like my mother in laws cooking but instead of saying no I opt for fruits instead. Then Pls why is the girl spending the night there? That's something my folks will never allow |

Cusan: Maybe she would have dropped money on the floor to know if she will pocket it. How else do u expect the mother to know who she if not by first impression. The test have not even started and she failed. The mother is only trying to protect her son. Lets assume the yeye girl is shy, when she was asked, she should av looked at the guy and use sign language to know if she shld eat or not. She just jumped without consultation and made her choice. |

My mum must give me another empirical evidence why I must discontinue the relationship. Simply refusing a meal does not mean anything, in fact my dad would see you more decent and not a glutton. On the other hand she at least have requested for a drink to humble herself or help with the dishes after the meal. On my first visit to my ex's place... 1 Like |

johnydon22: I keep wondering what manner of ladies are groomed nowadays. It clearly shows that her own mother has not prepared her well for marriage. Most ladies nowadays don't know anything about marriage. Yet they complain of broken relationships and failed marriages here and there. The only thing they knw how to do is arguments and showing that they surf the internet more Tha anyone else, some even go the extent of just pinging all day long on useless things. Morals should be taught by parents , courtesy should not be neglected while real life scenario should be learnt and they should just stop living in fantasy. 1 Like 1 Share |

osile2012: Well, I've learnt not to judge but let me just judge a little. I remember when my ex took me to his family house to meet his mum. we got there around 8pm. Now, as a rule, I don't eat once it's 7pm, but I made that day an exception, when his mum brought out dinner for us at 8pm. I wasn't hungry, and I had a tooth ache that day as well, but I managed to munch something out of the dinner served. Infact, I almost cleared what we had on the plate, not because I was hungry, but I wanted to appreciate the woman's time and effort, she put into making that meal.... Now, what am I driving at? it's kindaa rude to reject such food, and I'm sure the poor woman spent all day in the kitchen, getting that food ready for his son and his future daughter in law, so the least the girl could have done was to eat something, no matter how little.... and the girl didn't even try putting the statement nicely....... OP, I understand your mother, give her time to calm her down, ok. Rem, that's not enough reason to abandon your rship........and please tell that your girl to behave ooooo, wetin sef. Now to all ladies and gents, first impression matters a lot, so please make sure we give it our best shot. |

From were I come from, the mother has done absolutely nothing wrong. Even u wey be the gal, assume u wanted to travel home from ur base and u called your mother and told her u will be coming home,of course ur mother will prepare something for u to eat when u come no matter how small it is. And then u finally arrived and then u are offered the food and u told her that u are not hungry. Courtesy demands that for meeting ur in laws for the 1st,u should know that it is ur job to welcome them as ur own an them doing the same. Your boyfriend now told u that u will visit the family, u got there the poor woman welcomed u with open hands even offered to serve u and u rejected it(the very 1st thing she offered to her would be daughter-in-law and She bluntly rejected it with the excuse that u both ate b4 coming) didn't that ur bf also ate with u b4 coming? Yet she accepted mamas food nd u didn't . Now tell me how u think she can ever accept anything from u if eventually u are married? 2. She was in the kitchen sweating and cooking and u were @ the sitting room either watching TV or gisting. What impression are u giving her? It simply means that u are un-cultured. Even if u are not hungry, u should ve @least lick the soup,it doesn't add anything to ur tommy. Nne u failed woefully, I don't even need my mother to tell me that u fuvcked up big time. Any sensible man that hears such story will willingly support the mother ASAP. including ur siblings, we all know that ur marriage to that boy is not just about him but about the entire family, if that woman instigate all her children against u, nne u would ve opted to being a nun, because they will remove that thing that makes marriage to sweet from urs ASAP.u might think ur bf will be with u, at the initial stage yes, he will,he will support u,but then when he will start misbehaving who will u run to?(Marriage is not a bed of roses, it can only stand the test of time by the help of people around the marriage) we fall out of love every once in a while, were do u think he will go to when he fall out of love with you?his family and then they will blatantly remind him of the reasons they objected, but if u are in good terms with them, they can even beg on your behalf. Anything u will do now will sound more like a medicine after death(there are certain things in life that does not need a second chance). In this very case I will choose my mum without any second thought. #my2cents #qoutemewell. |

No matter hw filled up d lady is... She should hv at least try to eat a little bit, even if its just meat, Sum mothers feel very offended if sum1 rejects their food, especially for d first tym. Women generally, hates it very much if sum1 rejected deir food. But d mother shouldn't hv take it so serious lyk dat. Anyway, I think d Man should visit his mother wit d Lady again nd beg on her two knees till she's forgiven, I'm very sure his mum's heart will change. |

There is this very girl that I once dated, this girl went and became friends with all my male friends. I really suffered oooh, because no matter wetin this very gal do,my friends will always support her, @times I will want to toast another gal those guys will refuse and will always remind me that I have a gf already, they always had her back. If she does something bad and I refuses to accept apology, she will just pick her phone and call all the guys and tell them what really happened and then she will beg them to plead on her behalf, nd it works like magic. This is a gal that will go to the bar and buy beer for me and my friends with her money, whenever she wants to visit she will like to get smthing that will go round, fruits, fries and soo many things. My friends liked her for that. Funny enuf, that was my longest relationship ever since I started dating. So my dear, u aint just getting married to ur guy,but also to the family. If not, prepare to live in hell on earth. #ny2cents #quotemeright |
