Efe, I finally cooked this white beans and it's not in any way comparable to the brown beans. After cooking for so long (I am so sure my gas bill will skyrocket this month grin) the softness of the beans still wasn't uniform; some were hard and some were soft. Also, I like marshy beans but this one will not just break up. It's so so not like my brown beans cry cry cry

It gets worse when I am eating anything "unhealthy", na so I go dey see dia faces dey pop out from inside the food till I go use stubborn head finish the food or sometimes I go just vex leave the thing

Babyosisi, here's an example of how I incorporate the 50-30-20 rule:

50% vegetables (broccoli and green peas)
30% proteins (beans cooked with no oil)
20% carbs (sweet potatoes)

Still on the innovative streak, a couple more ideas using the 50-30-20 rule:

~ Breakfast: Plain porridge (no milk, no sugar), a banana slice, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, one fried egg (not a single drop of oil used), salad cress, and a sprinkle of black pepper.

@smartmom, does this make the plain porridge more er...bearable? grin cheesy

But be sure to drink one litre of water along with it. I guarantee you, you will feel full. Then supplement it with a couple of fresh fruits, say in an hour, or two later. smiley smiley

Lazy mummy I reused my daughter's sandwich plate grin can't be washing extra plates when that one was not dirty cool

Dinner;Wholemeal pitta pocket stuffed with lettuce, cucumber,salad tomatoes,chicken breast and one tsp of reduced fat humous.(I love humous)

Err umm ookkkkay since the banana is more in quantity, I guess it is better(sniff) but I should recommend a scoop of low fat plain yogurt at least

I substitute with inverter.
No tree.

Now no fuel. Still a bit lucky, hubby's office driver still buy normal price for us.
Only God know from where.

You need a pressure pot, trust me.
I use mine for virtually everything .
10min preparation of jollof rice.
cow leg grin
stockfish
beans
meat

If I want fast result, I use it.
start timing when you hear the first steam sound.
you don't even need much water as the steam does the job.
saves time, power,
