What country can only raise 9 pilots after 16years of signing the contract for 26 Gripens?

The only thing your Subs have demonstrated is, the ability to hit the sea bed at lightning speeds.

9 Pilots for 26 Planes is operational requirements..... LOL!!
NAf has 3 pilots for 11 F-7s, so which do you think is worst SAAF or NAF?

Efficiency, prudence with resources, effective.
And by state of the art, you mean 60 year old rust buckets!

T-129: advanced millimetre wave radar (MILDAR), similar to the Longbow and the IAI/ELTA radars.
Rooivalk: Doppler radar and GPS ( obsolete piece of junk)

T-129: AGM-114 Hellfire missiles (the best in the world even the Reaper drones and advanced American systems use it)
Rooivalk: Mokopa missile ( sounds like makossa no offence) **mokopa isn't in service with the SAAF**
Sensors, computers and softwares can easily be upgraded.

Let's talk about flying characteristics and hardware.

Hellfire: 8km.
Seeker: Modular.
Mokopa: 10km.
Seeker: Modular.

Mokopa >

Rooivalk: In service, operational and combat tested.

T-129: Limited service and untested.

Prove please!

Nigeria could've bought OPVs with the money spent on those old cutters! Some admirals can't wait to retire to "eat his cutter money".

Apparently not as much as your generals and defence ministry officials got buying fighter jets you are too mentally handicapped to fly.

“South Africa acquired three submarines that spend most of the time on the ‘hard’ at Simon’s Town and 50 BAE Hawk and BAE/Saab Gripen fighter aircraft for which the country had almost no pilots to fly them, mechanics to maintain them, or even the money to fuel them.

(Mail & Guardian [Johannesburg], April 21, 2012). Without money to operate sophisticated equipment, skilled staff continue to flee at the end of their enlistment and there is little opportunity for new recruits to train in skills useful in the civilian world. Parliament's Joint Standing Committee on Defense has described abuse of women in the SANDF as "common," adding that many female recruits have been impregnated by their instructors (BUAnews, November 26, 2011).

You are apparently good at impregnating female recruits. Good for you!!
So?

The defence procurement system delivered better deals and operational required equipment.

Like Augaugust stated, the Turks evaluated both, and they come to the absolute conclusion that the T-129 far out-classes the Half-french. Hence the half-french was roundly rejected, which lead to the closure of it's production line with only 12 units built and 10 in active service anywhere in the world.

For the umpteenth time

Rooivalk was not chosen by the Turks as it used french components

Turks have an embargo on the french

No it can't be upgraded, you need the technical know-how and no country would give you that for you to integrate on your platform and compete with them for potential buyers.

Secondly T-129 is based on the well tested Mangusta. So, your point on untested is baseless.

Thirdly, you don't have Mokopa in service, hence no proven use. unlike the Hellfire used almost weekly to takeout terrorists with proven accuracy.

Fourthly, your bush war relic Rooivalk having a higher service ceiling makes no difference in actual combat for an helicopter vs helicopter engagement. Reason is that most air to air missiles have a higher range than the general service ceiling of most helicopters.

Fifth, you urgently need more platforms before you can even engage the NAF in an Helicopter vs helicopter warfare.
SAAF: 8 or 10 AH
NAF: 50 AH excluding the T129

Sixth, for the CAS to be mentioning the name of a platform in Nigeria, it means the deal is 80% certain. The Nigerian military brass are that thorough and discreet about procurements. And not only did he mention it, he spoke about the broader scope of integration, this is not some "project Biro" comedy show. **no offence

The Rooivalk has been better than the Apache since day one!

Only sensors, avionics and computers make the Apache better!

But as a hardware it doesn't match the South African bird!

Yeah, MILDAR is an advantage - no denying that.

Mokopa is better than the AGM-114 - more penetration, longer range and is significantly faster (530m/s v the AGM-114's 450m/s)

Both Mokopa and AGM-114 use the same seeker

Mokopa is in service

Ancient source, disprove many times.

52 Hawks air-crew (more than 2 per plane) and 18 Gripen aircrew (14 Gripen operational), 22 000 flight hours budgeted for, Submarines are currently extensively used with multiple operations having been conducted this year (3 Major international operations) and with more next year

Its not 2012 anymore buddy.

14 Gripen operational = 53% operational status

Last Gripen delivered in 2011/2012

Gripen is not yet full operational - weapons system intergration is ongoing.

14 Gripen is enough to destroy any airforce in the region. Why waste money rushing to put them all in service? We can afford to take our time and do it properly. You have less than 11 F-7's... that meets your operational requirements no?

The submarines sunk an entire NATO task force and constantly are involved in high-intensity training operations with the likes of Germany, India, Brazil, France and the United States.

26 new Swedish-built Gripen fighter-jets, purchased at a cost of R10 billion (approximately $1 billion), average only two hours in the air each week; not enough to keep the machines in operable condition and far from the 10 hours of flight-time each week considered necessary to keep pilots well-trained

Former SAAF chief Lieutenant General Carlo Gagiano retired in 2012 after trying to resign in late 2011 during his hospitalization for stress as he continued to try unsuccessfully to find enough money for the fuel and maintenance to keep the SAAF in the air

Pathetic bunch of losers!!!

Outdated and incomplete information

Gripen flew over 800 hours in 2011/2012

22 000 flight hours budgeted for last year alone and 18 000 flown. SAAF is in a condition you could only dream of.
