Very interesting! Why is the Nigerian medical researchers not using it in their researches? I doubt it really does what you say.

Really?they told you that?
Do you know how many palm oil products are in the Nigerians markets?

At the end of 2013, the journal BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine published a study that evaluated the antioxidant activity of the oral application of oil palm leaves extract (OPLE) in mice with diabetes. Just 4 weeks after administering a relatively high dose in the animals, scientists observed that OPLE began to improve kidney dysfunction and fibrosis, which are commonly associated with diabetic neuropathy.

Fascinatingly, they also noticed that oxidative stress markers and inflammation, which are directly related to the most common causes of death in the world (cancer and heart disease) began to decrease. Although doctors are hesitant to announce that palm oil is the new treatment for these deadly diseases, this type of research is certainly turning heads!

Good day.
I have been a silent follower of this lovely thread and I can say I have gained a lot.

Please I want to know if Mayonnaise(bama)/salad cream is healthy to consume cos I love salad a lot..

I try to eat healthy though,my 3months old baby is on breast milk alone,so I feel hungry so fast and I eat a lot of 'food'.
Please what can I eat to burn the post pregnancy fat.(especially my lowe abdomen)
I need food that will be easy to get cos am here in Nigeria.
I just need to get close to my pre pregnancy weight(56kg),now am 65kg
I detest Exercise a lot.
Thank you

Speaking of palm oil, I was eating granola bar recently and found palm oil and palm kernel oil on the list of material used in making it. Interesting fact is that most American package food has palm oil. I like it in beans or nig soup.

Oh dear, please because you are doing exclusive and baby is still 3 months-don't bother about shedding wieght for now.
You need all the food you eat so that baby will be healthy and you too. When you are done, you know where to come for such.

As for the mayo,i don't use any-very rich and has more calories(sugar, chemical additive etc...)
I make my vinaigrette for my salads.(lemon, olive oil, salt, vinegar, black pepper) or italian dressing (mustard dijon and honey).

@Hernyolar, mayonnaise isnt a good or healthy choice of salad dressing if you want to lose weight. Try cutting up fruits like apples to 'help' your salad intake.

Ok 3 months and exclusive breastfeeding isnt the right time to actually start a diet to me sha. Just many small meals and you will lose weight naturally. I did with all my 4. I got my waistline back during breastfeeding and only add when I wean. This your 1st?

Funny, I had a rather big tommy when I was pregnant,so big that it would hit the door especially my kitchen sink.
And now some of my pre pregnancy clothes are beginning to fit in again.. All I need to really battle with is the strech mark and my dark tommy

Re: Paste Pics Of Your Healthy Meal Here. by Nobody: 9:20pm On May 09, 2015
I made one local soup na.

For the first time,i used ogiri okpei to cook.
(u get it from enugu state)
I simply couldn't resist d aroma when I perceived it somewhere.
Ogbonno, turkey, icefish, stockfish, onugbu, small okro and the rest.

After eating,i couldn't eat d meat again cheesy
No space.

This local spice is good o.

There is this yoruba version I've seen.
Maybe one day one day though I don't know what they use it for.

Anything to reduce processed stuffs is ok.
