izy what u think.since wen it cmes to pr my bsc/ 5yrs substitute wrk experience matters... its obvious i cant use /have any of these. what do u think pls. is tafe programme a good option in terms of PR?and knwn i wouldnt be usin my bsc/wrk exp? im interested in social work ...

You can't miss it with social work and health. So go for it. Tafe is good. Ensure u pick a tafe in a region. So research on social work requirements including post qualification from tafe. It will be a wise investment even if u av to do a pre stuff like top up or a pgd. Dont know how it works.

But if there are doubts, the CO would rather see Bank Statements and/or tax system, than just payslip.
thanks bro/sis, Pls I don't understand which one is tax system, can you pls explain to me. I work in a small company and the only thing I know is that tax is deducted from salary every month. Thanks

Yep! They confirmed my fears as I got Associate degree equivalency and that means I'll need my Masters. Again, my work experience was suitable and tagged to when I finished my B.Sc in November 2013. That is, work done after that date, since none...I will get zero point for the 6yrs 2months they calculated it as.

I'm OK...

Just ensure its a 2 yr programme or a cummulative of 2 yrs to qualify for PR.

Since ur tax is deducted from salary, it wil reflect in ur payslip.

So all u need is:

1) Employment letter
2) Reference letter from line manager
3) Payslips ( start, some inbetween and last month b4 application).

That is all. Provided your company can be traced online and you guys use work emails and not yahoo.

I believe most of these come in when one is claiming migration points from work experience esp the payslips.

Once he graduates, he automatically qualifies for PR...he does not need work experience to register with Ahpra, neither does he need to assess his degree as it is an Aus degree. Normally, work experience adds more points...but by the time he adds his points in English Language, age, studying in Australia, Australian certificate, and/or studying in a regional area, work exp points will be unneccessary if he is going for 189.

Nursing is on every state's occupation list and on the SOL for 189. He is gon spend a sh*tload of money on schooling expenses, but it will all be worthwhile once he starts working.
Great package for nurses but what is the need of their nursing & midwifery council skill assessment?

For ICT guys that did a B.Sc or M.Sc (Masters degree must be a two-year program or cumulatively so), u must work for at least one year in Oz or abroad to ensure suitability. Or do ACS professional year. The work experience must be relevant to the nominated occupation.

So, with BSc (non-ICT) and upto 3yrs work experience and related to the nominated occupation ICT with vendor certificates one is not good to go?

Pls go to ACS site and download to read up. I think with a Non-ICT B.Sc, u will need up to 6 or 5years of relevant work experience and don't expect any migration points from work years. I don't know if post qualification or part time. They consider vendors where they group Oz diplomas.

I want to believe only Oz associate degrees and not their equivalents get the 10 points.

This whole thing could be a maze...sometimes only when they have assessed u that u will know ur fate.

I worked while studying and now my work years were okay...the last six but I lost comparability and will need my Masters. Either I meet up with the 60days for 395AUD review or I pay another 500AUD.

hi dear, does it mean if a state is not sponsoring an occupattion one cant apply for pr? cs i want to understand ..ok a state has to be sponsoring occupations under the csol?? how do i check the state lists please... i dont want to do anythg botany related again thats why. pls reply or can i get ur contact email to chat beter with u.

Please I strongly advice you (& all aspiring student) focus on courses/occupations within SOL as this list reflects on virtually ALL state sponsored occupation for either 190 or 489 & d ALMIGHTY 189. Some occupation on CSOL ar just there for decoration as most state dont sponsored them.

Social work is good, but it has no advance diploma which qualifies for SVP unless BSC which could b more expensive. Diploma should b cheaper but visa and account statement wahala.

Same goes for NURSING

Another route to this, ask your tafe school to package the course for you i.e D2D. That wil qualify you for SVP and u might b able to exit after u ar done wit d diploma. Usually the university will giv u upto 3-5 yrs after which your package offer will b cancel.

Its pretty much the same as every other state's 190/489. SA sponsorship isn't hard to get, and they have a wide array of occupations e.g hair salon mgr, cafe mgr
