You will get 10points if you were assessed as equivalent to Engineering Associate either with your ND/HND. You could use your ND provided there would be more years of experience to claim.

Most occupations that fall within Engineering Associate are Technicians.

I will advise you to check any occupation you are eligible for on the SOL/CSOL list and know the specific requirements by checking the ANZCO code.

IOM nigeria take max of two weeks, a frnd got got his within 3days.

I think they priortise base on ur departure date.

. It is better you use IOM Australia. Within 3 working days they will get back to. They have options of payment either international money tansfer,or you can pay in either of their offices at Lagos or Abuja. Naira equivalent of the dollar.

.

I can speak on Engineer Australia; it is clear what the minimum qualifications are for various cadres. Professional Engineer- 5yrs Engineering degree (B.Eng), Engineering Technologist- Associate degree (4/3yrs) and Engineering Associates-Advanced Diploma (2yrs), which Nigerian equivalence is either ND or HND.

If your qualification is ND/HND, DO NOT NOMINATE either PE or ET.
Pls if Advanced Diploma in Nigeria which is seen as equivalent to HND in Nigeria is regarded as Associate degree, can one use it to study a post graduate course? If not n if yes,pls explain how and what is obtainable

For medicals you can call AAFatayi to find out because i guess it depends on ur subclass(I say this because i paid 35k for medicals then 2500 for Oral polio while some dude i met there paid 40k)
Here is their number 08081009944

Also for xray at St Nicholas i paid 5500 or so. You can confirm total price from A.A.Fatayi when you call that number

As for Visa fees, i paid 80 sometin. just budget 90k.

Hope this helps

Thanks alot, pls what about the school fees? Do one have to pay from nigeria or show evidence of money in bank account and pay on arrival in australia? Pls I need this to know and summarise the total
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by missakomaye(f): 4:29pm On May 07, 2015
School fees should be paid before Confirmation of Enrollment will be given, depends on the school you picked. You have to pay from Nigeria and still have enough money in you acct to take care of living expenses. Fees depend on your school of choice and course.

He has to finish schooling, coz he wil need his result/certificates to file for PR. Unless ofcourse he already hav a degree and relevant working experince then he can start his PR as soon as he gets to Australia

I got admission to study an MBA in Newcastle Business school and have gone through all the required process (Obtained a visa, Ecoe & others) My major question is if i could get jobs that could aid in paying my fees although i have 1ST & 2ND semester fees but Im concerned abt living expense and remaining 2 semester fees. Also, if there are any Nigerians i could meet in Newcastle that would aid my transition and enable me settle easily. please any ideas & advises would be helpful as i leave Nigeria on the 14th

What is TPP?

Well...if the rules still remain the same, he can qualify for a 189/190 after his degree. Especially as his completion of a nursing degree will enable him register with Ahpra, and wont need to assess his degree, as it is an Australian one. It would have been better if he was in the regional area, I mean schoolig in a regional area. Cos you get extra 5pts for that and you are almost guaranteed a job.
Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 11:47pm On May 07, 2015
Many Nigerians here are in healthcare. I have never seen or heatd of ao many male Nigerian nurses in my life lol...and they are doing well. You know Nigerians can hustle and are hardworking....willing to eork weekends and public hols, compared to their counterparts...and the pay per hr on weekends and public hols is different from ordinary time...so you can imagine. That is why when you see a Nigerian nurse, and a citizen nurse, you wonder if it is the same job they do...cos Nigerians put in more hrs.
