Top water slightly above your peeled Yam , cocoyam and potato. Not too mu c h water so it doesn't come out watery.
depending on the size, add crayfish , blended tomatoes (very little carrot) and one tablespoon of palm oil. Let it boil and soften then you add your shrimps and vegetable. stir and bring down.

Exactly 2hrs taken...phew! My poor knees. Remain small I go reach the half marathon mark of 13.1 miles... cheesy

As per the prawns. Mine are frozen oh! Should I boil them first before adding to the porridge mixture?

I think I'll chop the carrots into little square bits, rather than blending them. What d'you say? smiley smiley

I made one local soup na.

For the first time,i used ogiri okpei to cook.
(u get it from enugu state)
I simply couldn't resist d aroma when I perceived it somewhere.
Ogbonno,turkey,icefish, stockfish, onugbu,small okro and the rest.

After eating,i couldn't eat d meat again cheesy
No space.

This local spice is good o.

There is this yoruba version I've seen.
Maybe one day one day though I don't know what they use it for.

Anything to reduce processed stuffs is ok.

So sweet potatoes has less calories than yam?

I guess it d type u get anywhere apart from d east.

The one with d red back which stays long when cooking is definitely packed with more calories than yam.

Even then,they will tell u to reduce the intake.

The ones we use here cooks very fast. B4 u say hi to ur nebor,it is already done.
The one I see in abj won't even allow u to say hi, its already soft.

But d one I cook at home and when I school,
U can say hi and still go and gossip, its still there.
And very very acidic. To wash d pot is something else too.

I have been a silent follower of this lovely thread and I can say I have gained a lot.

Please I want to know if Mayonnaise(bama)/salad cream is healthy to consume cos I love salad a lot..

I try to eat healthy though,my 3months old baby is on breast milk alone,so I feel hungry so fast and I eat a lot of 'food'.
Please what can I eat to burn the post pregnancy fat.(especially my lowe abdomen)
I need food that will be easy to get cos am here in Nigeria.
I just need to get close to my pre pregnancy weight(56kg),now am 65kg
I detest Exercise a lot.

I dont use salad cream, i use vinaigrette dressing. Or a little olive oil and salt. Not a fan of sweet salad.
As per eating healthy, there is no season for that. SInce you are breastfeeding, you should have your own healthy diet.

You are already 10kg more from your original weight, i dont know your BMI. If it says overweight, you start now and work on your healthy eating. Dont leave it too late. Infact, you dont even want to let it say overweight before you start.
For breakfast, instead of eating 5 loaves of bread and two eggs. Try cutting your carb. Eat half of that, with plenty akara, moimoi, beans..healthy foods that can last you and not make you feel dizzy.
Every roasted fish.
Lunch, eat more of vegetable soup( okra, ugu, afang, edikanko,etc.) in proportion at least two times bigger than your eba.
Reduce those soups that uses thickners and very little vegetables.
more soup and protein in form of fish or meat, bigger than your eba.
Dinner, unriped plantain porridge, basically healthy stuff.

Inbetween meals, stock up cucumber, assorted fruits, coconut, peanuts etc. Trust me it helps.

Nuts makes you drink lots of water which helps to avoid constipation that comes during breastfeeding.
To make you drink more water, eat chilli soups(plenty pepper if you like it) cheesy

you dont wanna eat all the junks while you LO sucks all the essential nutrients leaving you with shaft. Your body also need good stuff wink


add little exercise, like taking a walk with your LO in a safe environment.
A little sit up and walking around the house cleaning etc. I assumed you are home since you are doing exclusive.

Clean your self, dust the house, etc. Its Also a form of exercise wink

Eating time is always feeling dizzy time.

I must say these your suggested meals are such a lifesaver. To think I've got soooo many carrots and sweet potatoes, I didn't know what I was going to use them for apart from making the usual Sunday roast (with Irish potatoes) smiley

I do 12miles on my bicycle, like 4times or less in a week. I take me 1hr to complete.
Thinking of you running that distance.

There is this muscle i notice coming out where is not supposed to.
It wasnt there when i started this 6 packs journey

My sister, na so na...and yes, you are right. It does take it's toll on the joints. The knees to be precise...so that's why I alternate the days I run. Once every two days. The days I don't run, I do Scola Dondo's intensive workout dance videos. All three of them - twice in one go. I end up sweating so much, I suspect I burn even more calories from this than running! cheesy

So that, then later in the evening, my sit-ups and lower abs workout.

It is addictive, especially when you see the pounds shedding off like kilodey. smiley

I dunno babes. But what I do know is that it's easier to run early morning...before it gets too warm. And knowing that I don't have much time, so it sort of encourages me to get in as many laps as possible. 12 miles is most achievable on weekends, bank holidays, my days off work, or the days I get to work from home.

I'm on a diet that made me lose 5pounds in just about a week or more and I'm feeling like "ha it's working. I don't Want to stop." Now I feel guilty about eating what I really like or forgeting to work out in a day. It is an now an addiction.

choiii see as e flat o.anyway thank God for tummy girdle which can make me eat my cake and have it.ifit eat orisirisi calories and still look like I have a flat tummy even though I don't because of that girl i call wura . Since after I had her my hunger cravings don increase o.i can't take my eyes of fried foods and pastries. I don try taya and wura is not helping matters. Na she go point at candy bars and chocolates which will make me taste and from tasting lipsrsealed grin
