I stand by GEJ, not because he is a saint or cos I feel he is administration was without errors cos he has his faults but by judging from antecedence in our country and African tendencies, he is still the best democratic president Nigeria ever had yet and the reason is very simple: Not only did he mean well for the country and tried his sincere best for the country ensuring liberty and rule of law prevailed, but WHEN PUSHING COMES TO SHOVE, he acted honorably by keeping to his word turn after turn, from saying politics should not be a do or die affairs to conceding defeat in an election that was characterized with anomalies, even to ensuring a peaceful and supportive transition. We all know the trend in this part of the world. Our past presidents don't have track records of respecting powers or elections, neither do they let go except with force and coups. I don't know bout you but I believe its the bravest thing to do in politics and public office, knowing when to let go. The only one person who did same in Africa is Nelson Mandela that I know of. Putting the country first before personal ambition. Even before all these, his personal will to see peace and unity reign in Nigeria, his humble and affable nature, his respect for rule of law and human rights, his uphold of social liberty and social justice.

Many keep shouting corruption in his administration but I guess that's a cheap excuse and hypocritical by opposition parties and their followers who are biased because they are not clean of this same fault.
