12years ago is simply 2003, same year he contested for anpp presidential ticket. His philanthropic work back then was simply to give him nation wide acceptance, that's no way related to how he made his money from 419 back in the days. I expected you to dwell more on how he made his money but instead u come on my tl to write about philanthropy as if he is the only politician known for such humane service.

Someone above asked a simple question; if Rochas has always been a billionaire, how come he is just building his White House?

This story is the worst case of Investigative journalism I have seen in awhile. First of all, his mansion in Spibat, Akwakuma in Owerri has been there for ages. All he did was remodel it and extended his compound. I stayed at Spibat for years during my undergraduate days and I can't tell you that the journalist is trying to be mischievous.

When did it become a sin for a rich man to build a house according to his taste?

Unimaginable that Buhari truly said to Okorocha "kai, you be thief" after seeing the house.
But Nigeria media - many twist stories to suit their political designs.

Give the SE and SS a strong political party.

Owelle has many estates in IMO and all of them where bought either from the British(foreign settlements of the British in IMO) and renovated or built by himself. And all of those buildings he got and acquired even before dreaming to be governor.
