The whole notion and call for Biafra is and will always be good and right for Africa to progress on their own terms. Its too bad we are still answering a slave name given to us by the girlfriend of lord luggard, yet we say we are people that do naming ceremonies and even keep the names of pikin' secret for 7 days. (are we not hypocrites) BUT There are no real and tangible structures in the East for this Biafra to really take effect? What structures are in Abia State, where the whole state has stood for 16 years and allowed quacks to govern them- even allowing the worse governor in Black Africa to smuggle himself into the senate? The people are too local in the state Or is it Ebonyi, where an 80 something was just pretending to govern for a wasteful 8 years? Just saying 2 Likes |

I have a hypothetical question: Lets suppose biafra becomes a country, given that there are more Igbos living in the Northern region alone than in the SE & SS regions combined, if all of a sudden visas become a requirement which requires Igbos to return to biafra, will biafra be strong and stable enough to assimilate all the returnees? Now suppose Akiolu and SW region also demand that Igbos resident in the area return to biafra, where will all the returnees fit into the biafra landscape? make una think this thing through, because I no think say biafra big enough for our people to return dia o. Na bloodbath with instruments of war like machete, clubs and shakabula go ensue. We love our Igbo brothers, abeg make una stay. Nigeria needs your ingenious wits, not to talk of una fine babes. My Igbo peeps, Nigeria mpka gi, just as nduchucks mkpa ihunanya 1 Like |

nduchucks: The issue is not land mass or global warming or anything like that. The problem really is the current leadership in Eastern Nigeria, that with the exception of Akwa Ibom, is a hot mess, with thugs, looters, and criminals parading as governors and senators. 4 Likes 1 Share |

DelticStephEn: Other nations can decide to spite biafrans for leaving, by making new visa demands and/or pulling out of any organization which allows free movement in West Africa. |

OneNaira6:Normally i don't like doing this but seeing the trash you wrote, i just have to reply you..you ibos try ur possible best at all times to make people hate you more and more.... calling a whole tribe coward makes me laugh. the same tribe that your lives are dependent on. the reason you lost the biafran war is cos of th SW participation. the business most of you own is in the SW. where do you run to when you gave been ravaged and devoured by poverty in your own lands SW. who voted for your so called son putting aside all forms of tribalism and ethnicicity?? SW... WE in SW are not like u guys, we didnt even vote for obasanjo when he won his second term ticket.. we didnt vote for buhari when he paired with bakare even though bakare was from our region, we instead voted for jonathan and after jonathan bleeped up we decided to go for another option and just because we refused to vote for u ppls son you call us slaves forgetting that since the inception of democracy in 1999 only one hausa man has ruled and that was yaradua and even he admitted that those elections where rigged. now to the issue of we having our own country look who told you we dont agitate for it i have been discussing odua republic with ppl since i knew the history of Nigeria we talk it and we actually believe one day ot would happen what we dont do unlike u guys is allow it to stop us from trying to make what we have on our hands now work.... we want odua repubilc but that doesnt mean we should neglect the Nigeria we have in our hands now after all it is the remains of Nigeria that will eventually become smaller countries and if that Nigeria is not worked on, the countries that will come out from it will collapse suddenly.. look at the case of south sudan for example. they didnt plan before agitating for their country, they failed to settle the underlying differences between them before running to form an country and that singular mistake hascost them lives and is still costing them lives till today.... that is what odua republic is trying ti avoid and its not that we are afraid of anything. it is only when u are united internally that you can think of forming alliance. and pertaining you oil and so on, common man you know everything you wrote about that is trash... we have ondo and ogun state....which we maight not even need cos we have vast agricultural land in ekiti, oyo and osun to continue the cocoa and other cash crops that awolowo started... i beleive i have tried to make some points clear without insults so please, always try to do the same 2 Likes

nduchucks:bro,ur reasoning is TOO POOR.I swear I just can't stop lafing, which other nation? u talk as if oduduwa nation & arewa nation are d only nation in west africa. & ur reason dat other nation WILL SPITE ON BIAFRA FOR LEAVING IS really RIDICULOUS & CHILDISH. don 't talk like this in public if u don't know the law of international affairs so dat people will not think you are A KID 3 Likes |

Chukwugekwu:our for fathers how Are the people that fought for independence cowards how are the people that literally defeated you in the last civil war cowards the mistake you guys make is that u believe people of a region should all think in the same direction.. in yoruba land, we have independent minds thats why you see soyinka support biafra that awolowo didnt support. thats why u see Tinubu and obasanjo never agreeing politically. But then having independent minds doesnt mean we should rush into things.... you ibos are just so bitter cos Awolowo backed out. thats all. 1 Like |

sanmibukunmi: Ignore that guy! I don't know what this igbos( and I wld say those on nairaland cos I have many fine igbo friends and colleagues) want? I hardly comment on all this kinds of thread but I wld make this an exception. The yorubas on this thread have said you guys can go! When they say u can go u say they are not sincere, when they say stay u say Godforbid they don't mean it. There was yoruba land before nigeria and there wld still be yoruba land after nigeria. We in the SW are not afraid of disintegration what is there to be afraid about? U say we are dependent on other regions how? Ondo state alone produces more crude oil than all the SE states put togeda drilling of oil in Lagos shld commence by the end of this year and yes lagos is estimated to have about over 300million barrels( google is ur friend ) there is oil in ogun state discovered already jst waiting to be harnessed! Ogun state is arguably the most industrialized state in nigeria ( once again google is ur friend) in agriculture we are the largest producers of cash crops like cocoa and cashew do u know how much this cash crops cost/tone? ( Google is ur friend ) and this is jst scratching the surface. Pls let's be civil. If the igbos want to go there is no problem jst do it peacefully that's all and I don't think that's too big a request to make! 2 Likes |

DelticStephEn: I'm sorry nyanyi maramma. I will do the best I can to sound intelligent. I appreciate your admonition ma'am. The rest of Nigeria can decide to kick you out of Nigeria without allowing you to return until you meet stringent visa requirements and I was only pointing out that, given the size of biafra, and the current crop of leaders in the region, who will continue to lead, nothing but chaos and blood bath would ensue. Enough of our people have died senselessly already and I'm afraid that the cowards who are living in diaspora are the ones calling for this biafran nation. I'd suggest that you people should come home and push for this secession and if your very own Governors do not see to it that you rot in jail, i.e. if they don't kill you, then my name is not Nduka Chukwunenye. nuff said 1 Like |
