My dad knowing i was a knucklehead decided to get a mopol guy to teach me,for every time the engine goes off i receive dirty slaps..the only mishap i ever had was hitting a kid that ran in the middle of the road to retrieve he's ball,broke the kid's ankle

I was still learning how to drive and had an official Toyota Land Cruiser jeep.
I nearly crushed a man to death, but thank God I missed him and rammed into a parked Volkswagen car which I spent half of the price of a new one to repair it for the owner.

mine was with my dads Toyota corrola .... it happened 2009. In front of testing ground (a police station in Ibadan). this c230 wagon just braked and before I could say Jack Robinson, we don *collabo* I was like a mumu... police rushed to the scene, the guy who own the benz said he was not filing any case, and DAT I should just call my mechanic to pick my car, his bumper shattered, his tank started leaking, one of the back lights broke.
my own car ehn.... the two head lamps, parking light, the net that Toyota was written on, the radiator, the ignition coil(that thing plugs are connected to by cable), bumper was plastic so it just bent, bonnet like the guy above the wind screen was spared though.
I called my dad, then his mechanic... I acted dumb in the house for 2 solid weeks.
am using this medium to still appreciate that man, my heart prays for him. never saw him again.

My first driving lesson, I pulled off the front fender.

The first time I started driving my aim was not to bash a car, little did I knw that it would happen soon. Was trying to reverse in a tight place, was careful to reverse gently only to realise dt d side mirror of the passenger side hit d gate and there was a dent on the passenger side of d car. What led to this was that I wanted to slam d brake only to realise dt it was d accelerator I stamped my leg on. So sad a day considering d cost for repairs but frm then am more careful.

My first driving experience was fun and smooth... A toyota cam that belongs to my friend. I was afraid but excited. The scary part was where I nearly crashed into a company's car worth millions as I was trying to reverse but I dunno how I miraculously hit the brake. Ah swear my mind n heart flew away. I was breathing hard n fast. Buh I was safe. Cheers

I once hit a bike man carrying a passenger while trying to make a U turn on a double lane one way road. Nah God save me make dey no nack head for culvert as they both crashed on the ground both guyz sustained minor injuries on their skin

I had just finished secondary school and taking JAMB lessons.. it was the rush of mixing with young peppy babes and trying to feel like DA MAN that drove me to sneak out to my Uncles garage.. out of the 3 cars available, i picked the most expensive.. The Citroen ZX.. Gold Color.. I remembered watching him drive for over 6 months.. Now was the time to put that into practice.. (At Night)

I turned on the ignition, I remember turning on the radio (Radio Rivers2) and listening to music. I switched into reverse and pressed the throttle.. Oh boy!!! the car moved so quickly my chest was pressed against the steering.. before i knew what was happening, I had flown over a gutter and smashed the boot into the side of a Flat with occupants sleeping. the whole neighborhood woke up .. music was still on, i was still stuck at the front seat looking like a dufus watching the crowd gathering.. after a few minutes of silence the owner of the flat scream.. GET OUT OF THE CAR YOU BLOODY FOOL!!! They made me sit on the grass until my baffled uncle came back from his night out - the girl i was crushing on saw me, that bush jobless gate man saw me! it was something i wished i could go back in time and cancel. for almost a year I could not walk down the street without someone pointing at me and laughing.

ii went to a driving school (the instructor actually killed my initial confidence)
so after 9 days of lackadaisical training in a car older than antiquity, my gee who is a pro and i decided to cruise to school and pickup some chicks , i drove from my house into the express road cruising like a boss for like 15 mins(up till now i believe that driving on express is the easiest form of driving though i stand to be corrected),then i entered a non-dualised road with bus drivers my friend became jittery and i was like cool down,then i saw a truck coming and the bus in front of me swerved to for passengers to alight an angel told me to slow down to a stop, a demon said flex jo, [b]na im i talk make i show my friend say i be boss, i enter centre suddenly i heard the worst sound of my life[/b]i had scratched or should i say crumpled the parked bus..........................,i managed to park and i came out , i didnt have the confidence to look so i asked my friend how bad it was, he being a cool guy just smiled, i looked at it and God i have never seen a more crumpled car , my side headlamp and traffic were broken,my door was bent beyond repair,my side bonnet was totally dismantled and i had spoilt the fender of the bus worse still it was at my school bus stop chai.......people come they look me dey ask me wetin apen,bus driver call im panel beater chop me 3k my guy paid and never asked for a refund at d end of the day it cost my parents about 40k to repair all the damage and immediately the repaired it they said i should buy learner sign and that was the last they ever said about me bashing a car,hell my dad laughed when i told him

Reading the OP'S experience got me laughing pretty hard. Well my first driving experience with my tutor, I was a bit nervous, as he always cautioned me 'you are driving into the bush' 'learn to maintain your lane'

Mine was actually very unforgettable!

I was twenty years and living with my brother who had a Peugeot 504 Salon. The car went in for a comprehensive mechanical and body work including painting. The mechanic was a mate and friend whom I sometimes spent time with at his workshop. So I was always with him during the time of my brother's car work.

On the final day of the car at his workshop when it was meant to be delivered to my brother, I was with him hoping to go home together. At a point wgen we were set to leave, he went to pick some stuff at a nearby kiosk and I decided to move the car close to where he had gone so that we could take off from there. The next thing I heard was a bang; crashing into a truck parked adjacent of me. All the newly painted front and right side fender were destroyed.

The guy on his return was so confused to see what I had done with the car. I was sweating so profusely at the damage I caused to not only the 504 but also the truck.

The following days at home were made tough for me by my brother's wife who was very upset with me.

The good part to it was that it made my brother to hasten to teach me how to drive since he wouldn't want a repeat of the incident.

I decided to take my siblings 2 school with dad's 2nd car, we got there safely but when it was time to u turn and start coming back home naso wahala start. 5 Mins Later I don ram the car inside one fence, I sha find way to escape and get home. na dat day I know say Ibadan pple can look and gossip, the news got to my dad even before I got home. Thank God Dad understand and he did not vex.

@topic: I was introduced to driving by my Dad's chauffeur when I was 7. Took full control of a car for the first time at age 10. No accident(s) yet, and I intend to keep that way.

...well I waz ridin Chopper (dyamm expensive bicycle for the rich) back in the day and as I waz racing wit a car speeding, the front tyre broke of and I flew like superman and summersalted under a mango tree.. The sad $hit about this $hit waz that I got up like a Playa that I waz and all the babes in ma area still respected the *Playa*... Me!!

Mine: I still vividly remember that day...I went to a friend's house to visit when I discovered that his popsy just bought a Nissan Primera. I didn't know how to drive and neither did my friend. Secretly, I have been dreaming of the day I would drive a car . When he asked me if I could drive, I told him I could. He asked me to teach him and I gladly agreed, since his dad wasn't at home. To me, my dreams of driving a car had come true!!! . Person wey wan teach anoda person how to drive nor even sabi drive . Na so we start. After about 10 mins, two teenage boys were seen in a crashed car that hit a fence with the front of the car totally damaged! Radiator burst...fan break...headlights scatter...wheels nor gree roll again.... My friend had to lie to his parents that he was the one that damaged the car. I really felt sorry for him because that night was like a Mortal Kombat brutality in their house . After that unfortunate incidence, I swore I would never crash a car again and so it has been! I have been driving for 14 years now and such has not occured again!!! #NaGodWin#

mine was funny ...... though I started driving when I was in ss2(2008).. it was my mum who taught me driving with her mazda626. she always insist I won't drive without her sitting beside me which I don't like. one day d car hoot needs to be fixed at a mechanic workshop. when we got there she said I shld wait behind, she took bike home. when d meco finished he asked me will u wait for your mum or what ..I eagerly said I will take d car home ... I drove to my friend house to let him knw I'm now an expert before driving home ..close to our house there is a woman selling bread beside the road...just to impress d woman and her daugher(my classmate) I decided to park and buy bread ...as I was about to park I fell d car inside d gutter... mum met me there gave me hottest slap ever. people around assisted us in pushing before getting it out.. that was the first and the only mishap I experience.
