No skin though and it was roast chicken breast. I tried bland oats this morning. Yuk. Normally have Alpen fruit and nuts or granola with fruit and yoghurt but efemenaxy I don't think that bland one is for me o. The bananas made it a bit bearable though

Plain porridge is soooo good. I don't even need it with fruits, but I add them, just to fulfill all righteousness. smiley

Give it time. I think it's because your palate is still used to processed sugar / sweeteners, that's why you find the taste of plain porridge unbearable. smiley

Your salad / meal is excellent. I see you removed the skin from your chicken - well done. You still need your carbs though. For energy. Follow the 50-30-20 rule. Use it as your guideline and you'll be fine. smiley

Funny enough I am also begginning to love cucumbers. Efe you are a good influence. I have used 3 sticks(Abi what will you call it ) so far this week.

Good girl. Cucumbers are rich in vitamins and very good for the skin. Well done.

chilli there is a problem o. I am starting to look like a bodybuilder-my upper body is somehow undecided,masculine. I stopped with the weight lift,i am now focusing only on the lower abdo.

It is not funny,i did not bargain for this angryembarassed...i still need my feminine body....they advice me to take a 2 weeks break,but that won't be possible,i need by abdomen pack. undecided

Chillisauce, I made that sweet potatoe porridge dish. Absolutely fantastic!

Didn't use yam or cocoyam, just the sweet potatoes. I also added some pepper and onions to the tomatoes and crayfish. Since I only used sweet potatoes, there was no need to add water to the pot. Just the blended tomato mixture and added to the potatoes in the pot. I also added the frozen prawns directly to the pot, along with the chopped carrots. Used three.

Men! Soooooooo nice! I will upload pics of this tomorrow when I defrost some of that porridge.

Who says eating healthily has to be a chore? smiley

Omg bless dunni of dooneys blog.
So today I made this delish akara abi na pankara tongue she call am. Just a drop of oil beans paste made like pancake.
It taste just like akara just minus the excess oil
I am a sucker for akara na Im dey undo my hard work
So welcome to this new version I no dey for excess oil again!

Ok oo I hope so ..you know when you just shove food down your throat lipsrsealed so you don't taste it that's what I did this morning.I washed it down with water cheesy But I guess I can if I put my mind to it.

It takes keeping at it and your body or palate just gets used to the good stuff. I find it difficult it very difficult eating deep fried food these days.I take out kitchen towel and start squeezing the oil or my stomach just starts feeling queasy at the look of it.Me that I love puff puff I could only eat one last Sunday when someone brought it to church..all the oil stains in foil pan just put me off.I was so shocked at myself.

God bless whoever invented the oil spray even that sef I have mastered how to use sparingly or not at all.

At least you bit the bullet and tried it once. Still gearing up to try the Efe bland oats. Thinking of trying it with dried fruits, grated sweet coconut and banana soon.

I just registered for gym because of this thread,

Please lets know that we are encouraging people here, we don't need to use degrading words.

Efe I want to be like you. How do you manage to sustain, you must be highly discipline to have carried a workout plan for as long as 3years

Hmmm, there is still hope for people like me.

Currently I am weighing 88kg, anybody with useful information on dieting with Nigeria food.

For families like mine where, DH doesn't like the green food or GRASS according to Babyosisi, how do I cope.

Hmmm, someone told me that I am wasting my time, that I should wait until I am done with child birth, alleging that immediately I becomes pregnant that I will return to my previous weight.

I have two kids and I am looking forward to another two by Gods' grace.

I was also told that active involvement in strenuous exercises will prevent me from taking in.

HOW TRUE IS IT LADIES.

I mentioned you because of what that someone told you, my dear being healthy and fit is something that will benefit you , more so the fitter you are the enjoyable you bounce back to previous pre preggie weight. I have a friend that said exactly what the person told you then she was on baby number 2 just like you, now at baby number 4 she don turn balloon, triple her weight sef because she was waiting to finish birthing babies. Start now join the fit family movement.
As per adding healthier meal options at home it doesn't have to be boring, make it fun or worst case scenario make your own healthy version and cook normal for the rest of the folks
