Algerian navy and army both have massive CRAM capability, anti-missile defence capability, cruise missiles are slow speed and easy for CRAM to neutralize. Algeria has air refueling tankers, and Su-30 Flankers does not even need air refueling to attack France from Algeria. The Su-30 will attack French cruise missile sites using anti-radiation and air to surface missiles. France has weaker air defence missiles, weaker artillery systems.

Algerian army is not conscript, the regulars are 100,000 men and 150,000 reserves all heavily trained on weapons and very fit physically. The Algerian army fought an 11 year modern war against an enemy of 40,000 deadly insurgents just some years ago. France has only one half baked aircraft carrier and about 10 surface ships that will face 500 long range anti-ship missiles from Algerian navy and air force jets fighters and stealth warships plus submarines with heavy torpedoes. France's army will face about 5,000 Algerian anti-tank guided missiles, 300 T-90 tanks and about 3,000 APC/IFV many armed with missiles.

I am sure even Britain will be afraid to face Algeria. Dude, let's not derail this thread, and stop attacking my comments because of vendetta coming from another thread somewhere. I have proved my point technically, and even the a world class military general won't dispute it.
do you even know what is meteor AAM !

first of all those arabs dont consider themselves africans and would never bleed for us (all north africa countries )thats why your seeing morocco and egypt busy in yemen helping their fellow saudi arabs .

When did black armies go to Egypt to help them fight Israel? Egyptian army deployed 1,300 fully equipped troops in Congo DRC with UN force helping black Africans. Sub-Saharan Africa should solve it's own foolish, man-made self inflicted problems by itself.

lol... patches.

and Algerian war ships will stiill be docked to watch in amusement as french ships sling cruise missiles frombit's shores?

war is not like playing video games guy. you were in so much hurry that you forgot france has to engagr the Algerian Navy first (which is also blue water capable) before slinging dem cruise missilesgrin.

and while the navies engage, the algerian army positions it's air defences in anticipation for a french air campaign.

don't try to use the iraq template on this one. we both know US fought an already crumbled military. iraqi generals even gave US cordinates of where and when to hit.

let's not derail this thread abeggrin.

The French Navy will obliterate the Algerian navy - that is not even up for dispute.

3 Frigates, some old Kilo class submarines and a handfull of corvettes against one carrier, 10 destroyers and 11 Frigates.

It would be a no-contest.

Sure the Algerians would probably sink some french ships and damage a couple more (unless the Algerians are completely incompetant), but the Naval victory will be utterly and completely desisive on the french side.

Thereafter, as I said, the french park off the Algerian coast (Where the majoirty of Algeria's population and infastructure is) and degrade their infastructure and airdefence via saturation attack from missiles.

By the time Rafael's start hitting ground targets the Algerian S-300's would have either been destroyed, rendered combat inffective (lack of ammunition or CnC) or abandoned.

Patches689, why do you always feel the need to derail this thread?

As adults, we should know when to show restraint, or simply transfer the argument to the other thread.

Copy that sir, I will delete all my comments in that regard. Patches started it. I only made a simple sentence of a comment on the photo of Algeria's new ship and he expanded it into derailment. I will wipe off those comments, and I hope others do the same. I salute !

And I made a simple sentance as well

Nope, you wrote several sentences that created argument.

France would smash the christ out of Algeria.

The french have a massive technological advantage, and they are professionals.

So yes, you guessed, and you guessed wrong

Now go delete those comments because I am going to delete mine. Also stop the habit of just attacking some selected people's here, don't import your vendetta from the other thread to this photo place. No more derailment.

I am not deleting anything.

If you reveiw my comments on this thread, I "attack" anyone who says anything particularly st.upid.

And I expect to be attacked if I say anything particularly st.upid.

And if you bothered to read the thread you will see a gentlemanly and honest debate about a war between france and algeria being held by myself, stillchris and africaken.

So dont come and play the victim card here, and most of all, do not speak to me of derailment Mr "Nigeria is getting a new fleet of attack craft - my *secret* source says so"

Things are heating up in Beni, Nord Kivu, DRC and UN incompetence continues unabated. A furious SF commander on the comms, "No f*&%ng way I'll night-infil my men on a f*&%ng MI-8!" His promised Oryx were re-tasked to ferry UN civilian VIPs, who prefer Oryx and Puma for night flying.

Do you know of any Oryx operating in the DRC that have been upgraded to Drummer 2 status? As far as i know the project is due for completion early next year, i was just wondering if there are a few units that have already been upgraded that are know in service again.
