Alert - Club Konnect - A Nairaland Ad Fraud? by dabigwalls: 6:37pm On Apr 30, 2015 |
I am not one to patronise online businesses because of the tendencies of abuse by some Nigerians who like to take others for a ride. I saw a Nairaland Ad by Club Konnect selling bulk data. I normally would never have even attempted patronising an online set up like this but seeing that they seem unflagged yet by the Nairaland community as fraudulent, I decided to test them in a small way. I proceeded to buy N2000 worth of data. I transferred funds to their account. Klub Connect says that I will be credited upon confirmation of my payment. For 2 days, my account was not credited, neither were they taking calls. After 2 days of repeated calls including 40 missed calls at a stretch, a rude girl takes the call and chats some gibberish. They "credit" the online account for me on the website with N2000 with which I "purchased" the data (still on their website). It is 4 days now. No data and you cannot get anyone on the phones. In any case I gave them 40 missed calls after which they picked and said they will do it. I called Etisalat who confirmed that even if data is shared to me from them and I get an sms from etisalat saying so, they could do it a day before expiry of their plan thereby nullifying all their share. Second thing I'm informed by etisalat is that they can share data, and delete your number afterwards thereby making the share zero. Same game can be played over hundreds of users. I never lose though, I got God. 6 Likes |

Bro, I said after 4 days! That is what I did. Anyway, I just got credited the 2Gb now. I'm not going that route again. Seems my Nairaland vex woke them up. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Guys these club konnect guys did similar thing to me last month, they credited me and later selected my number,I called etisalat and I was told that no data was credited to my account ,in fact they didn't credit me initially until after like 4days of persistent disturbance because their office in Ibadan is opposite my former branch.as for the lady call receiver, she is a naught to a fault.just believe God will touch their heart for our credit.rubbish konnect. 2 Likes |

smartleo: What do you mean selected your number? Etisalat said that they likely delete numbers afterwards so in effect... you have zero data. These guys will be early candidates under Buhari's Anti-Corruption fight. 1 Like |

Well, I have bought from them too. But was credited same day after two or more calls. Is that biz a fraud or is it that the management isn't handling bizness well enough? |

pholar: What issues did you have with them? |
Re: Alert - Club Konnect - A Nairaland Ad Fraud? by pholar(m): 9:44pm On May 02, 2015 |
Issues such as delayed data transfer; or partial transfer. Leme give you an instance. I needed to buy 2Gig the other day, but I got just 1G. Took them some 3 to 4 days, and several calls from my end before I was able to get the balance of 1G. Meanwhile my account showed completed transaction. You see? dabigwalls: 1 Like |

I had similar experience with them, but I got the data after much stress and several days and wasted credit calling them. From what they are doing now, it's gradually becoming a scam, I don't advise any one to use them 1 Like |

Pls be sure of ur claims so that you will not spoil someone bussiness. I am their regular customer and i can testify that the are not what you painted them to be. It might be because of network issue. Next time try to be patient and dont quick to say they are fraudulent people. Thanks |

I fell to the same group only 3 days ago. Saw their advert on Nairaland and went for it. Opened an account, made deposit into my wallet and till date my wallet has not been credited. Called numerous times only to be pushed around. It is either they will not pick, will not reply your whatsapp message or just play dumb. They will not give me data, will not give me airtime credits and will not credit the wallet with the said sum. Yes N1700 can be deemed small, but imagine receiving such from 1000 Nigerians RULE 9: Don't use Nairaland for illegal acts, e.g SCAMMING, copyright infringment, hacking, gay meetings, and incitement. I wonder why Nairaland will permit Club Konnect to advertise on their portal? NAIRALAND, some of us trust you. Please please and please check these people you permit to advertise on your portal oooo..... If Club Konnect says i am lying, i will present proof of bank transfers to their Gtb account 2 Likes |

I wouldn't say they are fraudsters but lately they've been acting somehow like delay in crediting one's account or in transferring data except you 'kill' them with calls......They really need to upgrade 1 Like |

etenyong: Maybe you did not read through the thread or you are a beneficiary of the fraud that they are becoming. I despise this nonsensical approach to treating frauds through the blackmail that you attempt. Whose business is being spoilt? So is it ok to have them spoil another business while theirs is protected by folks like you? I called them 40 times! What da hell are you talking about? Or is it that you did not read the post or you're doing PR as their in-house Nairaland CIA? 2 Likes |

I opened a thread some time ago about this, when they collected my #500 without giving me any data till now and my thread got hidden. One girl even defended them to my astonishment, I had to rest my case. |

Who is hiding my post? Someone on this thread wrote "at times u get d data & within like 2mins it disappear". Does that sound like clean business? Why hide a post without due diligence? |
