When GEJ explained to Nigerians during his campaign that fuel queues had been averted during most of his tenure, they didn't fathom what he meant. Now he is out and the majority of the marketers supported the opposition during the elections. Now Nigerians will for once be grateful after this. Protests wont bring fuel but money, which I believe Nigeria does not have.

Ase.. Who said he is out? Whats todays date? Do you know who STILL runs the country? This happening during his term. He is still responsible until 29th.

Just yesterday most south easterners were boasting that we would not experience scarcity. Many Noelle names were mentioned. Others bragged that we have hundreds of illegal refineries therefore scarcity would never hit us. Many said we were all so hard working and industries and had the brain to change water into fuel.

Fast forward to this morning. Awka capital of Anambra. I bought fuel two days ago at 140 per litre. Also two days ago half the filling stations in awka had fuel do I can understand why many of us developed that false sense of security. This morning I went out to buy real...

All those stations were closed down. There was just no fuel. It took me a thirty minutes drive round the city to find fuel. I finally found it close to the anambra/Enugu border. The queue was massive.

And the cost? 170 per. Relatively cheaper you'd say... Across the road another station was selling but at 200 per. I got a frantic call from a friend who told me he bought for 250 in some village off Awka. He had to travel all the way to that village to get fuel.

I asked a friend in asaba. He said they now buy for 240 but it's so damn hard to get.

Scarcity is hitting all of us. We in the South East should not brag about immunity. We are all doomed.

May Satan use you as suya. You are the goat that is doomed forever to be sacrificed to amadioha. Fool.

Nigerians. All of us. Rich and poor. Celebrity and commoner. Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.

You can exclude yourself if you like. But that means you either don't live in Nigeria or you live in a village where social amenities are not important.

The good thing about your post is that the type of challenges we're facing doesn't recognize any tribe or religion. Thank you for stressing that, hopefully with more people like you around idioticcc ethnic warlords will start using their brain.

When i tell most Nairalanders to disregard kids who come online and spew trash, most wouldn't listen.
I bought #200/L today along Limca road in Onitsha this morning, most fuel stations are closed.
Awka road, it's up to #300/L if you see, fares had all increased suddenly.
Can't believe it's same Onitsha that sold #110-150/L last week.

Hold on now, I clearly remember you were on that thread bashing yoruba ppl alongside your co-travelers.

Boy if u don't understand the real situation of things then u won't. The entire nation has not had electricity for three days. Fuel is so scarce that you'd be lucky to find it. And most people can't afford to buy it at that cost. In a few days food prices will skyrocket. Telecoms may shut down.

Tell me again why you don't think that you're in trouble? Yes you!
please shut up already, which east? you are a Yoruba man i must say, i just got back from buying fuel now, bought at 140 a litre ... and their was no queue, nor shortage of fuel.. as i am typing now sef, my Gen is on and My battery is completely full.. please get your silly facts right

It's not called fuel scarcity, it's called" hording " all d filling stations in SE has PMS but some are scared of selling cos they were mandated to embark on pure strike action. Get ur facts correct. illegal refineries in the South East? You just hate us and for sure your are neither in the South East nor from there.

That is exactly what many people bragged about yesterday. If I get time I'll find the post and point you to it. I didn't make it up.

You say I hate you and I'm not from south east? Well your totally right. I hate my parents who are both Igbo's from anambra. I hate all my siblings too. I hate my cousins and the rest of my extended family. I hate my clansmen and my villagers. And I hate my governor Obiano even though he's taking my state to greater heights. And yes, I hate Enugu, Imo, Abia and the other states. I hate the Igbo soil I march on everyday.

Are u happy now or do you want me to say I hate the word Igbo too

The rest are nt sellin (either hoarding or nt havin d product). 2day, pms is selling 250 per litre. Some stations r lockin up dia gates at 1pm. Basically u hav 2 leave d town 2 get fuel. Scarcity is everywhere!

Hoarding? Can you prove that? Have you inspected their tanks? What you call hoarding is scarcity to the common man. Scarce is scarce.

there is no fuel scarcity in SE, every petrol station sells fuel but due to fear that had been created in the SW, the price had gone up between #170/litre to 200/litre but Ifeanyi Uba had stepped in to caution the effect with petrol being sold at #100/litre at all Capital petrol stations. price is coming down now.
