Evening my e-mamas. Pls has anyone used dr emeka of olive branch of late? Did you get bfp and how much is it?
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Ebube2014: 3:20am On May 24, 2015
@Oleayo22 I know someone that used him last month, IVF with egg donor but unfortunately got a BFN. He did a 2 day transfer for her though which seemed a bit weird. She paid N988 for IVF plus about N370 or so for the egg donor. A lot of people got a BFP from him on this trend but I dont know who has lately. All the best dear and Gods speed.

@Oleayo22 This is a sisters testimony as well.

mazita2:
Hi Everyone,

Been following this post for 2 years but wanted to complete my cycle before commenting. Dr Ikenna Emeka of Olive medical is without a doubt the most professional doctor I have met at least in Nigeria. When I went through my IVF cycle with him, there were a few key things important to me: expertise of the doctor, medical facilities and personalized care as each patient history and case differs. Olive and Dr Emeka provided all . We were given detailed fact sheets and information at each stage of the process, we were even given a tour of the facility and most of all he was always accessible and professional in his dealings. Not once were we asked for money even though we took the drugs on the first visit but did not start the process till 4 months later as we kept believing it would still happen naturally. All the nurses and staff, completely pleasant. Even though we were not successful, if I have to do another round, I will definitely go back there.

Any Dr that guarantees you success in IVF is a fraud. It is GOD only that gives children, all they can do is use medical science to assist the process but the final outcome is still in God's hands. So for those undecided, investigate these clinics, pray, be sure both of you are committed to the process, prepare your body 3 months ahead (diet, folic acids, lifestyle changes etc), ensure all other medical conditions are ruled out and most of ALL, have FAITH for God says there will be non barren in the land.

Soon we will be here to share my testimony.

Hello mamas in the house. I've been a silent follower of this thread for a year. This is my 7th year of marriage, not even one pregnancy. Male factor. I had a BFN with Dr emeka last month(iui). I want to try Regenesis this time. Does anybody have an idea of how much iui cost. Also ivf. Thanks, will be glad if some1 responds soon. We will all testify this year

Dear, poor male factor will mostly give bfn for iui. How poor is the sfa? He'll need to boost it to certain level before you'll be advised for iui. IVF is best if its too low especially when motility is also affected. Writing based on advice from two doctors. All the best.

Mamas in the house good morning to you all. This is my first time of stepping in here but I will go and start reading up from the beginning now.

Please, I recently did an iui and the procedure was hell. Halfway into the procedure which they initially told me was like a TVs and painless, while screaming it flashed through my head to tell them that 'I don't want a child anymore and that they should leave me alone' My sister's it was that painful but I managed to hold that thought within me and not utter it out.

I read my file after and the doc wrote, 'iui done with difficulty' and then they added that they plan that if it is unsuccessful, I should come during my menses to HV my cervix dilated.

My question to sabi mamas please is, has anyone done that dilation or opening of the cervix before? Is it painful? How many times will it be done before it becomes normal? What should I expect?

Please mamas come to my rescue because the pain I went through last week Thursday has no part 2.

Mumihaji, please come back, Beauty4ashes, other sabi mamas, biko come and help a sister

@lizzyslaw some mamas have written report of opening the cervix on ttc thread. You may post there so they can respond. From what they wrote, it's not a good experience. Though all I've read they were all discovered during HSG. Have you done that before your IUI? It should always come first to be certain your tubes are patent else you'd be wasting your hard-earned money. There are several causes of closed cervix. One mama even got her bfp same cycle she opened. Baby dusting your way dear. Lets hope the iui will work this cycle so you wouldn't need another opening.
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by completemom: 7:20pm On May 26, 2015
@ miraclebaby. Thanks for the response. But this iui was done with donor sperm cos hubby was diagnosed with severe azoospermia. We opted for donor, cos it's better than adoption for us and we can hold on to something as we wait on our miracle. You can imagine how devastating BFN was. I still don't know what went wrong. I had 3 mature follicles all over 18mm. So I don't know wether to change clinic and try regenesis. Frankly, I found no fault with Dr Emeka. Wanted to try Regenesis. Pls any info on their cost

@Miracle baby, thanks for the reply. Yes, I did hsg before the procedure. I HV one patent tube and one blocked. The hsg itself was another painful experience after which they mentioned stenosis of the cervix. I guess the docs did not think it was serious enough since the hsg was successful.

@UT22, you can use continental specialist fertility clinic, opposite Bobby filling station at mgbouba. It's immediately after the GTB bank. The doctor is quite good and his fee for flushing is unbelievable ( 3k ). Though you may have to beg and persuade the nurses to book you in because he always has a full schedule.
Tnks a lot for always takin time 2 anser my questions.am planing of locating dis clinic soonest.do I jux tell doctor dat I want to do flushiing?or does he insists on runing his own diagnosis.pls ur reply will be deeply apreciated

@lizzyslaw I see. Hope you noted the side that's patent so as to know when to try iui. But then, why didn't they try flushing? You may need to PM @mumihaja to know how she did hers as more sore at the cervix will make it close again if not properly treated to heal from inside. Opening it and making it remain open should be your priority now. But don't loose hope, this iui can be bfp unless you didn't ovulate on the patent tube side of which your doctor would have known. keep faith.
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by miraclebaby: 9:20am On May 27, 2015
@completemom iui doesn't always give bfp. But your doc is on the better side to confirm why it wasn't successful. Hope you were given hcg shot before the transfer. Above all, only God gives children. Discuss with your doctor on why it failed and how you would plan a new cycle. But on another note, have they confirmed the cause of your dh's issue? Can't it be treated? My dh had as low as 800k count which has gone up to 34m now. Just working on motility which is still low. Never loose hope, pray God direct you. @all this thread is too quiet, what's going on?

@All, am so sorry for the long silence, so many things transpired but I normally come here to check on what has been happening. So glad that many of you sisters have been calling to find out how we are doing. God has been so faithful. The Generals will be 19months tomorrow, how time flies! Their level of development is just amazing, God has been keeping them very strong and healthy. They do a whole lot of things like singing, mentioning their body parts, calling names etc. I couldn't control my emotions the first time they started calling me DADDY because it was like nobody was going to call me that. God is really good, this joy will go round each and every one of you still in God's waiting room. He is too faithful to fail.

Hello @Lizzyslaw, sorry about the painful iui experience you had. Usually it is not painful all. You experienced the pain cos of the closure of your cervix.

But since your hsg showed it your doctor should have done something about it before the iui procedure.

Someone did the opening like twice and got bfp the second time. Check ttc thread.

I wish you a positive results soon.

Shalom

Good morning All, miracle baby. Please what drugs did your hubby take to make his count increase or what procedure. Thanks
He was on fairhaven products, fertilaid, motility and count boost, occasionally taking GNC maca man for stronger erection. Then he had staph infection too which we treated with both oral and injectables. The count came up but 3months passed and nothing, we went back and found out count dropped to 4m with zero motility. We met another doctor who prescribed one drug for him which I can't drop here for some reasons. We all know the drug but mught no have known it works for men. So after two months on it, we went back to lab and the count was good. Total motility is too poor so we'll schedule an appointment with the doctor as he's not always around, to get what he'll day on the motility/morphology boosting.
