Lol, ok. I have seen loads of people with quite interesting hallucinations. Until we hear the parents' version, we won't know. If indeed there's ritual involved, his parents may deny it flat. So it's complex, more so because this is Africa. Here in Europe, the diagnosis would be quite easy.
But the psychosocial & cultural aspects are different.

brilliant,I believe its a medical condition Cuz same happens to me too,I sometimes spit out blood in my mouth without any accident or cut,the bleeding stops of it's own accord though n DTS why I ain't worried....but this guys case is different,according to him the blood flow stopped d moment he got delivered by the prophetess,his seeing stuffs myt be hallucinations, figments of his imaginations,sleep paralysis and all DT still has medical explanations,but his mum is definitely hiding something,all through d guy wasn't attended to medically but his parent opted for spiritual remedies,more like they have an insight bout d lads predicaments, the guy myt be right cuz its a crazy world where the unthinkable stares us right in the eye.

All those things affected my life so badly that i decided to revolt against them,i just thank GOD for his grace to turn one's life around,my life was stagnated for a long time, whenever i think of it ,i wish they were not my parents,if i get married i will cut off from them. I think, you are not connecting some dots here, his parents are highly educated and are in a better position to know if he is delusional or not and if the illment is medical or otherwise....their western education and vintage position of having lived with him concludes that, it is spiritual, hence they didn't take him to see the Doctor and you blamed the brother for not doing that?

The parent choose to go about it spiritually, one is even curious how the mother be an Evangelist, will choose herbalist. There is no mention of the parents taking to church for prayers after they inferred that, it is spiritual.
